there was also one sub song that was in mandarin sang by Chiang Mei Chi. i have no idea who that is tho. lol.

i liked this series. lous koo was good in it... the opening theme was pretty good too.

yeah...the 1st time i watched it, i thought it was really good & hillarious.

however, after reading the book, i found out that those tvb scriptwriters butchered the original plot to the extent of only 20% is compatible! really disappointed as the original story is really interesting and adventurous.

Hong Siu Long went to all 7 countries and had different adventures in each country. There are also many interesting charaters which are either combined into another charater or completely forgone by those scriptwriters. One of my favourite character must be Kei Yeen Yin, a beauty who is also a scholar & a swordswoman. Of course she is HSL's love interest and Kam Ching is nowhere near her!

well, i must admit that the actual story is very long and it would be impossible for tvb to remake it word by word. But then if u can't make it, don't do it! Why butcher a nice plot just for the sake of fitting it into 40 episodes!!!

i sincerely recommend the book to everyone, but if u love the serial so much & don't hope to hv any bad impression on it, then forget about reading the book!

I'm currently watching A step into the Past right now. I find the storyline really motivating! I can't get over the fact that they've put together a fantastic CAST!! What do you guys think of the series??

its wonderful! i'm watching the part where raymond has taken over the throne (i still don't know why he's gonna turn evil, is he?) i really pity Jessica because of what happened to her. ooh, i hate kwong wah in this series! he's so annoying and irritating at times. still can't believe he betrayed jesssica after she helped him!

yeah i totally agree with u... louis should of ended up with joyce and jessica. I felt so sorry for her when she didnt end up with him.
