Pak Chong Sai (Bobby Au Yeung) comes from a lower class background, despite his slight intelligence, he is lazy and has little ambition and he has been making a living by illegally filming pirate videos in cinemas. By a chance opportunity, Sai joins with daughter of famous film maker Koi Lan (Woo Fung), Koi Ying Ching (Sheren Tang) to make a real film.

Due to limited resources, Sai can only recruit little known children's show presenter Nam Kwong Cheung (Michael Tse) and gossip ridden newcomer Koo Chun Ching (Kwong Man Shun) to be his leading roles. As Chun Ching and Cheung spend time together, they gradually develop feelings for each other. Unfortunately, to keep their images intact, a pair of young lovers are forced to keep their new relationship under wraps.

At this time, after many months of hardship together, helping and compromising with each other, Sai and Ying Ching also build up a shred of emotion for each other. However good times don't last and Ying Ching's arch enemy Wong King (Yuen Siu Cheung) is searching for a plan to ruin their project.

King firstly persuades Cheung to join in his production company and then convinces Ying Ching to direct several low class movies for him. Cheung not only betrays everyone, he also gives up on Chun Ching; Ying Ching agrees to co-operate with King and because of this her relationship with Sai breaks down. Will Cheung and Ying Ching leave King and find their dreams again and work with Sai to make a classic and renowned movie?

Man I was very surprise about the ending of "Doomed to Oblivion". Gigi shouldn't end up that way. I mean, TVB has to transform her character to an evil person, which was not convincing. I personally thought she would end up with Hei but eventually she became a nun in the end. That was a pretty sad ending. OH well...hope she will be having a better role in an upcoming TVB series where she can have a good ending and be with someone. hehe...

Haha yeah the translating program is called Em's brain and doesn't come cheap!! <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

WK - Yeah Slim Chances' lead roles are Lydia and Fennie. I haven't watched it yet (doesn't appeal) so I don't know how much weight Kevin, Annie or Rain carry.

    Cool

Translating programs aren't all that good because they sometimes can't tranlate right or left out a few words or they might even translate the character's names too.
