"One has brought him up, The other is his burden to bear
Two strong relationships, Resulting in double sacrifices"
Ding Shin Boon (Gallen Lo) met Ching Tin Nam (Jessica Hsuan) whilst on a business trip in Australia. After returning to Hong Kong, Boon is involved in a robbery in a jewellery store and the prosecutor is Nam...
When Boon was six years old, his parents were drowned when their boat sank and his brother was never found. Boon was rescued by Ding Wing Bong (Paul Chun). Bong sees Boon as his own son and passes his gold business to him to look after, but because of Bong's alliances with a crime ring, Boon is suspected of handling stolen goods. Boon would never have guessed that the police officer who arrests him is his own brother Chung Sau Hong (Deric Wan)! The relationship between Boon and Nam is frozen and despite the truth being found out, Boon's family background still affects the progress of their relationship.
Not long later, Bong passes away and to repay his debt to his father, Boon decides to sever the ties between the family business and the criminals, but in the process he has no choice but to move on the wrong side of the law and he is mistaken by Nam and Hong that he is still carrying on with illegal activities. On top of this, Boon's stepbrother Ding Shin Hang (Raymond Lam) suspects him of murdering his father for the inheritance. For the sake of brotherhood, he hands over the now cleaned up business to Hang. Boon eventually gains the understanding of Nam and Hong, but is pulled back into the dark world of crime because of Hang. Boon can do nothing but to sacrifice himself...
