    Cast: Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Fiona Leung Ngai Ling, Yuen Wah, Nicola Cheung San Yuet, Hawick Lau Hoi Wai, Au Sin Yee, Wai Ka Hung, Timmy Hung Tin Ming

    Chun (Nic Tse) is an overseas student who loves sports, especially judo. He returns to Hong Kong for his elder sister San (Fiona Leung)'s wedding and meets Judo Master Ban (Yuen Wah). Chun is very impressed by Ban's skills and decides to call him master and learn his art, but San is opposed to this because Ban causes the wedding to be called off. In order not to upset San, Ban sends his sister Ching (Nicola Cheung) to be Chun's tutor. Ching is known as a strict teacher and makes Chun suffer, but in order to get some master skills, Chun pretends to date Ching.

    Meanwhile, San and Ban are woven into a couple by Chun. Just as Chun believes that his love life and family life are going well, he loses badly in a bout with his friend and sparring buddie Leung (Hawick Lau); and bad luck doesn't come alone as Ching finds out the reason he is dating her and leaves him for Leung. At this time Chun realises that he really has fallen for Ching. Also, as San and Ban's feelings grow stronger by the day, Ban's personality suddenly changes and wants to split up with her. What secret is Ban hiding? Will Chun finally win the heart of Ching again?

    The Legendary Four Aces
    Canto: Gam Jong Sei Dai Choi Jee

    Cast: Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Esther Kwan Wing Ho, Bobby Au Yeung Chan Wan, Evon Yung Hung, Gordon Lam Ka Dung, Nadia Chan Chung Ling, Marco Ngai Chun Kit, Annie Man Chung Han, Lo Hoi Pang

    With Tong Bak Fu (Nick Cheung), Chuk Chi San (Bobby Au Yeung), Man Ching Ming (Gordon Lam) at the helm of the Kong Nam Team, they have won the North South Talent Contest for 2 years on the run and with the fame comes problems as they encounter Persian Arts Master Chau Man Ban (Marco Ngai) who challenges their skills. Ban wins by cheating but his plot is uncovered by Fu, leaving his reputation in tatters, but the three take pity on him and they all become good friends.

    The foursome head to the capital for the national examinations and do well, with the Duke Ling praising their talents and offering them positions. Ming falls in love with the duke's sister Chu Ping Ting (Nadia Chan) and Ban falls in love with San's sister Chuk Hiu Lin (Annie Man). San himself falls in love with the prime minister's chef Shek Lau (Evon Yung) despite starting off on the wrong note. As for Fu, he sets about wooing Chau Heung (Esther Kwan) as he is investigating the secret of Prime Minister Wah's treasure as his undercover alter ego Wah On.

    Fu finds out that Prime Minister Wah (Lo Hoi Pang) is loyal and patriotic and the real villain who is plotting to overthrow the emperor is the Duke Ling. The four find the situation difficult working for the enemy so they hide and evade life, hanging around in the brothels. When Heung finds Fu in these places, she decides to split with him.

    Beautiful singing girl Chau Yuet (also Esther Kwan) is Chau Heung's long lost sister, the two are finally reunited, but Yuet is murdered by Duke Ling. Heung vows revenge but she is spotted and is in danger. Ling's plans of treason finally take shape, will the four aces avoid become slaves of a dying era or prisoners of the new emperor?

    Having had a childhood wish to become a firefighter, Yau (Wong Hei) and his good friends Bat (Joseph Cheng) and Hing (Chin Ka Lok) apply for the training school and meet the handsome but rather cool Pak (Louis Koo), bold exterior but soft-hearted Yiu (Esther Kwan) and rich boy Kei (Tang Siu Juen). They all become good friends under the instruction of officer Sing (Danny Ha) and overcome all their problems to graduate and be sent to different fire stations.

    Yau, Bat, Yiu and Hing are all sent to the team of elite fire fighter Fung (Lee Chi Hung) and Pak is sent to Cheung Chau. Yau is praised by Fung and they become friends as well as colleagues; however life is full of upsets and Yau's mother becomes very ill and reveals the secret that Yau and Fung are actually stepbrothers with the same father.

    At this time, Yau becomes an outstanding fire fighter and his glory outshines that of Fung. As the result of a misjudgement by Fung, he is forced to resign from the service and he blames this on Yau. Moreover, he finds out that his beloved Yiu has fallen in love with Yau. The two brothers' relationship breaks down. At the same time, Pak and female firefighter Chui (Jade Leung) fall in love, but Chui is the girlfriend of Pak's brother Yat (Cheng Tsz Shing), this tangled relationship causes these two brothers to fall out as well.

    Whilst everyone has problems with their love life, they also feel the strain of saving people from the fires and at this time, a string of arson attacks take place, as if to further challenge this band of fire fighting heroes.

    At the end of the Ming dynasty, during the reign of Sung Jing, the government was polluted and corrupt and honest official Yuen Sung Woon was framed and his whole family sent for execution. His son Yuen Sing Chi (Gordon Lam) was rescued by the Golden Snake Master Ha Suet Yi (Kwong Wah) and sent to Wah Mountain to learn an art. In order to seek his revenge, Yi ventures to the family of thieves at the Wan Family Palace where he is trapped and injured but he captures Wan Yee (Melissa Ng) and escapes.

    Yee is sorry for the bad deeds that her family have done and develops feelings for Yi, the two fall deeply in love. The five elders of the Wan in an attempt to gain a treasure map, rescue Yee who is pregnant and hold her against her will to lure Yi. On the day that their daughter Wan Ching Ching (Sarah Au) is born, her father Yi has his tendons in his arms and legs severed by the elders and he is buried alive in a disused well.

    After Chi has grown up, he wants to leave the mountain and seek his own vengeance, and coincidentally finds the Golden Snake Sword which has been left behind by Yi, the Golden Snake pins, the Golden Snake Martial Art and also the hidden treasure map, using which he gains a great skill in martial art. Ching has been poisoned since she was five years old and has been used by her family to find the treasure map and so she chases Chi persistently. However she is affected by his nobility and honour and falls in love with him. Yi has previously fallen out with many of the sects and tribes, so posing as his successor, Chi finds that he is being pursued from all sides.

    Chi meets Leader Ching from the Green Bamboo Sect and the Leader is soon murdered using the Golden Snake Pins. His daughter Ah Gau (Charmaine Sheh) vows to get her revenge, but she is weak and helpless and Chi feels more and more sorry for her with each failed assassination attempt and eventually, she also feels emotions towards him. However, Chi soon finds out that her real identity is that of his enemy's daughter as she is Emperor Sung Jing's daughter, Princess Cheung Ping and since the day that they were born, they have been destined to be enemies.

Fourth son Chi Hin (Frankie Lam) is intellegent and well-educated, cultured and polite, however he is faced with the order of the emperor to marry simple natured and uncultured To Bo noblewoman Dun Ju (Annie Man).

    The personalities of Hin and Ju are complete opposites and this causes many arguments, the two have no real marriage between them and their continuous bickering causes many laughs. In the meantime, Hin falls in love with Chow Mung Sze (Kwong Man Shun) and Ju takes a part in bringing them together as Hin's is very grateful to her. When Sze's feelings are directed elsewhere, Hin feels a great loss, but Ju is there by his side and they start to develop real feelings for one another. The Ching family upset some powerful people and are forced to lose their family business, and Hin is involved in a deep secret which could cause him to lose his life...

    This has been sitting on my screen waiting for me to translate it so here goes. It looks like TVB put more thought into writing the synopsis than they did into making the series... it was pretty dire!
