Russia looks deadly offensively.... but that's about it.

Canada still looks the best all around. Then again, the Checzhs are always tough.

The first day of the tourney, the biggest match up is Sweeden against Russia!

PS. Figure skating sucks without Michelle Kwan (nice eye candy).

My favorite winter Olympic events are figure skating, short track speed skating, and ski jumping.

I abosolutely HATE short track speed skating. It's a classless sport with a lot of whining due to all of the pushing and shoving. It's like rollerderby on skate. Remember when a couple of skaters crawled to the finish line in Salt Lake City? What a sport.

Well, Canada did pretty well at the last Olympics but I think it's in regression. Canadians are reknowned chokers. The talent is there but not the mental.

Ever since the Los Angeles 1984, I have never missed the Olympics and I will surely not miss it this year now that NBC airs it in HD and CBC and Radio-Canada are at least showing some events in widescreen. My favorite winter event is ice hockey and needless to say, my favorite team is Canada.

Hey hockey fans, where are you guys??? Canada didn't do too bad considering Jet Lag and not used to the time and all. They did a lot better than the Americans, that's for sure.

The Slovaks beat Russia, but that's not that big of a shock. When you have players like Bondra, Gaborik, Satan, Mairian Hossa, and so on, did anybody think that they'll be pushovers? As I've said all along, Russia has no D and no goaltending. Is Nabakov injured cause I've never heard of the Russian goalie who played today? I know Khabby is injured.

The biggest surprise of the day was Latvia tying the US! Latvia wouldn't beat most AHL squads, let alone the American National team. I'll give the Americans Jet lag and all, but still that's pretty bad to tie Lativia.

As for the fellow Vancouver Canuck fans in here, The Sedins did awesome. Ohlund was solid. I heard Ruutu was good too even though he was held pointless. I didn't hear about Salo though. Bertuzzi was amazing...well, so far.

Now with the Moore case (I consider this to be dilberate bad timing). I don't blame Moore for suing Bert and Bert does deserve to be sued, but why not do it a month ago? Is he trying to mess up team Canada? Also, what the hell are his parents suing for. That's absurd.

There are alot of DQs, but that's part of the sport. Don't watch it if it disgusts you so much.

Canada is sick. They won't lose in Hockey despite all the upsets that happened so far. But Russia, wow 5-0 against Sweden...Short Track speed skating is more fun with violence and falls. I wanna see roller derby on ice, not some DQ bull crap...Apollo Anton Ono, part Asian or not he's still 100% pussy.

Today's big big upset. The Checzhs lost to Switerland??? Wow, that's an ECHL team or maybe worse and the Chechzs lost to them?

The Russians are downright scary when they feel like playing. Nabakov is much better than the other guy (whom I've never heard of) who played goal against Slovakia. Poor Sweeden. I was rooting for them cause of the 3 Nucks players.

Canada beat Germany, but after the 1st period, they seemed to stop trying.

I consider the Russians to have the best offensive team in the tournament, but the Canadians have the best all around team, except McCabe sucks! Stupid Quinn had to pick him to be on the taxi squad. Damn it, why did Neidermyer have to get hurt.

The Fins are playing well as a team, but can they keep up with Canada tomorrow.
