Yeah I'm really excited about this movie coming out and I want to go and watch it.
I can't wait for it to come out. When the preview came out I was like where in the world have I seen this before and then they said that this movie was called the Chronicles Of Narnia.

The stories appeared as a British TV Series 10 or so years ago. I liked it and hope the movie version tells the story as well.Originally Posted by prettyangel

yea i really liked the british made years ago
I remember watching the animation version as a child and loved it. I think I'm gonna take my son to see the movie.
I liked the old British version as well and hope this one will be even better.

The British tv series version is now availble on DVD.
yea it is. i bought it in a set with "prince capsian" and "the silver chair" omg these two were indeed a waste of money. the story was crap too. the only one i liked was "lion witch and wardrobe." yup. i cant wait to see this one though
its coming soon...in December 2005!
really looking forward to it...hopefully it live up its expectations....
I can't wait to see this, a long time ago I read the book and it was really good. After that I tried to read "The Silver Chair" cause the title sounded interesting but I lost interest after the first chapter. I figured it was because I'm not a patient person when it comes to books and usually if it doesn't get interesting real fast I quit reading it.
I don't remember can sum one tell me when it is going to come out in us?

This movie looks good but it doesn't have any well known actors. But does anyone know are they going to continue the book series? from what I remember there is more then 6 or 7 books ending with the Last Battle.

Facebook Is the best thing since ICQ
there are 7 books. the lion the witch and the wardrobe is actually the second book, but it's the most popular. the first one is actually a sorta prequel, and doesn't really follow with the rest of the books. and one book, the horse and his boy is almost a totally different story.
they'll probably make more of these books into movies if this one performs well in the box office.

I saw a preview thing and the movie is film in the same place that Lord of the Rings was filmed--New Zealand, where theres untouched land.
I think the young actors and actresses will probably be better than the ones who acted in the BBC version.
Rewatching the BBC version as an adult, parts of the series was really choppy and really did not flow well at all. I just hope this newer version will make a movie for each book like they've been doing for LOTR and HP.
I just love how you Captivate My Mind

there was a really interesting article about chronicles of narnia in the ny times today. apparently tolkein and cs lewis knew each other. if anyone wants to see it, i'll post it, but it's really long. here's my fav part of it...
Then there's the unfortunate business with Susan, the second-oldest of the Pevensies, who near the end of the last volume is denied salvation merely because of her fondness for nylons and lipstick - because she has reached puberty, in other words, and has become sexualized. This passage in particular has set off Pullman and other critics (and has caused the fantasy writer Neil Gaiman to publish a kind of payback scenario, in which Susan has grown up to be a distinguished professor, not unlike Lewis, and in which for good measure Aslan performs earth-shaking oral sex on the witch).

omg, that's totally weird and interesting to know. yea, i actually hope they wont make a movie on the other stories, cuz they were really bad. i really liked peter from the old BBC version. but i saw another movie, i tihnk prince caspian, and yea, susan and peter werent allowed back into the narnia world because they were older, by aslan's orders. i didnt like any of the books but this one. so actually i think the only reason they will make other movies from the series is if this one is a blockbuster hit, which for sure it will i think. but i thought the other stories were crap.Originally Posted by pemberly
is it just going to be "The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe" only, or are they going to make movies on the other Narnia Chronicles as well?
hope that answers itOriginally Posted by kittyknguyen
