1/16/06 – Lee Wan and Park Shin Hye film their new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Tree of Heaven” in Nagano, Japan. They pose in front of a church in a snowfield. In order to show the dark and cold image in the drama, Lee Wan has lost 5kg weight within one month. LW’s role Yoon Suh lost his mother when he was 10 years old and became autistic. His father remarries. Then he and his step-sister Hana ( played by Park Shin Hye) develop love relationship. The drama is scheduled to be aired by SBS on 2/8 following the final episode of “My Girl”. Also, the drama will be broadcasted by Fuji TV in April in Japan.

Lee Wanand Park Shin Hae have been casted for the new drama, 'Heaven's Tree.'

'Heaven's Tree,' the filming of which will take place in January, is the finale of the Heaven Series by Lee Jung Soo PD-- Beautiful Days, Stairway to Heaven and now Heaven's Tree-- and will be 10 episodes long.

It's a heartbreaking love story between two siblings --their Korean father and Japanese mother remarried to each other and thus the two have become step siblings. In the drama, Lee Wan plays Yoon Suh who as a child, shows great potential as an artist, but as he grows up he leaves home and joins the "Yakouzas" or becomes one of the (i believe it was a notorious gang in Japan), but keeps his step sister deep in his heart.

Hana, his japanese step sister, doomed to share the ill-fated love relationship with Lee Wan, will be played by Park Shin Hae who also acted in 'Stairway to Heaven,' 'To be cute or to be crazy' and etc.

Heaven's Tree was written by Moon Hee Jung and Kim Nam Hee who also wrote Stairway to Heaven, through which Kwon Sang Woo became one of the Hanryu stars. It is set to air in February of 2006 after SBS's 'My Girl.'
and then the stuff written after that is about Lee Wan who's working out to prepare for this drama and how he's just finished filming a movie in Japan entitled '그때 나는 죽기로 했다' ('At that time I even died' roughly translated). And how they think Lee Wan will become one of the hanryu stars as well... or something along those lines.

I actually watched 2 episodes and it's quite sad. The same writer as Beautiful Days and Stairway To Heaven so it has to be sad...

I know what's going to happen in the end if you guys want to know tell me I'll send it to you... or maybe I'll post it up later on... Hint: Similar to Stairway To Heaven. Once you see it you''' be shocked ... I'm addicted to this drama right after watching 2 episodes ...

1. Beautiful scenery.
2. Park Shin Hye's acting is really wonderful.

Bad

1. It feels like it's missing half the scenes.
2. Inconsistent story. Papa and mama shows up for like a minute and drop dead the next.
3. Hana(Park Shin Hye)'s a hotel maid? Didn't we see this somewhere before?
4. Yi Wan's acting is a loser. For some odd reasons, he reminds us of his sister, Kim Tae Hee.
5. No, don't tell me the billionaire prince loses out to some loser without shoes this time! Women surely don't want to see their dream prince losing!!!
6. Inconsistent story. Wait a minite, Maya(Asami Reina) is a yakuza boss's mistress? How did she go from Tokyo University to a Hostess Club in just two years?
7. Yi Wan becomes a YaKuza mid-level boss in two years?

Yes, at least that's what I think that the ending is confirmed. I found it at someone else's site. Very sad though and very similar to Staircase To Heaven ... . Yes, 10 episodes in total .... I didn't like Staircase To Heaven so let's hope that it's not going to be too similar. I find that Staircase is above exaggerating. Like Choi Ji Woo was hit by a car more than once without going to the hospital? The guy had to give eyes to her but she end up dying anyway? back to this drama the leading actress just turned 16 on Feb. 18? WoW she can act romanticly at this age? But she's an amazing actress .

Well he kinds of look like Go Soo at some angle which is a cute thing and his acting skill is actually getting better. His popularity in Korea now is actually a hit .

Yes, he is. It's Kim Tae Hee's brother . I think you should watch it although some parts are kind of weird and diff. from other k-dramas .

Yea it's good for me, Lee Wan is cool as a triad guy but I'm not liking the girl too much, I like her friend though, cute and has the sunny personality Well, ok her character in the drama that is

But this drama is a lot on the heavy side, tragic melodrama, but thankfully it has it's comedic moments too

In my opinion, great work by the cast and production team as well, so I'll keep watching till the end, I'm at episode 4 already

Ohh ok, I actually enjoy everyone in the drama but some parts are kind of weird. yes, it is a melodrama because most of these things probably happens very rarely? . But so far I don't think there's anything stupid that I shouldn't be watching. Hope it will continue like this .
