Default Did people hear that Bill Tung died?

The funny comedian that co-stars with Lydia Shum all the time in those family comedies, passed away yesterday in Macau, weighing only 70 pounds.

Was he severly sick or something?

    RIP Uncle Bill!

First time I saw this thread, I couldn't recall the actor's face. Then I saw the same news from another website & they had pic of him. And I realized that I watched a lot of his series when I was growing up. That news said he died because of lung disease (or maybe cancer?).

Rest in peace, Bill. May God Bless You.

it was not cancer. reported as diabetes and heart diseases I think. it seemed he had a long fight with these illnesses.

I got this from another website. The poster didn't put where s/he got the information from.

Hong Kong actor Tung Piu (Bill Tung) died yesterday of lung failure. In fact, acting was only a hobby of his and his life was closely related to horses. Born at a Hong Kong stable in 1933, Tung Piu began to ride at 9 and became a jockey at 12. Like his father and grandfather, he was also an excellent horse trainer. In 1967, Tung began hosting horse-race shows for local TV and radio stations. In the 1970, he began taking cameo roles in film and TV series and by late 1990s he had appeared in over 60 movies and hundreds hours of TV shows. The police chiefs in Jackie Chan's Project A sequel and Police Story series were the most noticeable roles he played.

Also Lydia Shum. She and Uncle Bill are very good friends and used to always act as couple with Loletta as their daughter. The two have such good chemistry.
