yes, that scene in TVB was so sad. I recall, the only reason he was captured was b/c he was tired out going from one gate to the next. I cried so much when they killed him and buried his body. It was also sad when his wife found it.

Yeap, I agreed, this scence was sad. I feel sorry for him and his wife. They just married and he was sent to war.

i was watching it on youtube, 7thLang's wife wasn't really introduced to the family. I mean, there wasn't a big moment or anything. it felt kind of weak. i really like how they did flash backs to when the mom hung out with her sons spitting seeds. it was sad. really touching. the mom's really strong, she was able to hang in there after losing so many loved ones. GO YANG MOM!

There were definitely deleted scenes. I see some scenes from the 15 min trailer that never seem to show up in the 47 epi series. Hopefully they'll be a longer version.

This is a very good series tho. Besides the focus on heroism and loyalty and duty to one's country, I like how the main focus is also on love within the family. Love between the husbands and wives, father and sons, between the brothers, etc. Lots of bonding. You can tell that the Yangs are one big happy family until the Jinshatan battle.

All the brothers are cool in their own way. 5th brother was the father's favorite due to his skills, 7th brother was cheerful and likable, 4th brother was pretty cool despite people complaining of his sulking, he actually lighten up alot after he accepted the family again. Although I have to admit that 6th brother is very cold to Princess Chai throughout and he's probably my least favorite. And the first 3 brothers deserve more development. I think my favorite charcter has to be Yang Ye. Of all versions, this one is by far the most fatherly, loving and charismatic. You can tell why all his soldiers would rather fight to the death with him rather than surrender or run away.

Unless someone comes along and changes the whole story like Wong Jing. But then again, Wong Jing has a tendency to kill off all the characters in his series.

i've just started watching this series n i've gotta say that this is the first time ever that i've seen a series with so many cute guys ...not only the yang brothers, even the 2 bad guys look hot.
My fav characters so far are Ye Lu Xie n Guan Hong. I dont really get one thing though....i thought Guan Hong liked Ye Lu Xie cuz she was thinking bout him the hole time after he left....n then in a split second, she's suddenly into Wu Lang. I wanted her to be with Ye Lu Xie ,though i like Wu Lang as well. Anyone has any pics/ sites of Wu Lang?

Agreed, dis series has many cute guys. When i was watching dis series i was wondering why do they hav good looking guys playing da evil role. I would rather hav ugly guys playing da bad guys. At least then i don't feel so bad hating them
