Chapter 30:

Reverend Yideng brought his hand up to his chest, his body smiledghtly swaying, as he blocked that palm strike.
*What does this word mean? I can't find any definition of it. I found it in two sentences so it couldn't have been a typo.)

Whaaat! You've never heard of the word smiledghtly!!! Actually the word was created by Microsoft's Spelling and Grammar checker's replace function. Two different translators miss-typed smile as 'sli' and 'smiled' as 'slied'. When I replaced 'sli' with 'smile' etc it also did it for every word that started with 'sli' like slight and slightly. You'd think that after all these years MS's replace function would be able to check itself for questionable results and alert you.

I remember Athena wrote an excerpt on Chapter 32, but I could not find it anywhere in this forum. I thought the thread was 'ROCH excerpts' ... Anybody know where that is? Or if Athena read this message, would you send me your excerpt, please? I am thinking of replacing my last part with hers.

*Some parts of the chapter whenever a character's thought is said, ‘ and ’ are used to mark them. In other chapters “ and ” were used. Some thoughts in this chapter were unmarked so I had pointed them out in some of the corrections above. So what I'm talking about here is if you don't mind making it uniform for this chapter to use “ and ” instead of ‘ and ’ whenever a character thought is said.

The one I posted today is my file with much of foxs_'s work pasted in as a replacements for the existing paragraphs or in some cases just replacing some sentences in an existing paragraph with his. Had to change all the condors to eagles as well. Made some judgement calls as to whether a foxs_ paragraph was pasted intact or further edited.

I am sorry for pestering you again James, but is it possible to just post the whole file? Because I made quite a bit of changes (including 'eagle' to 'condor'), not only per-paragraphs, but the wording within the paragraphs as well. I incorporated Huang Yushi's suggestion and noodle's excerpt, which was the reason I added his name to the translators list, and I didn't see that in your post. I just hate for you and Bangs to work hard, only to realize that it was not the final version.

If it is too much trouble, I can email the file to Bangs. Bangs, how about pm-ing me with your email address?

Edited: I think I'd better post my file, then you can see the difference more clearly. I will deleted this chapter after your are done, so it won't waste our space.

foxs_ version is up now with some minor editing. Since this is being done for readers of English I've changed the Pinyin / English order in most cases. English followed by the pinyin in brackets.

I just downloaded the chapter text and left the old title and credits as they were originally. He is in the credits in my file, and, just to be sure I didn't forget , I updated the translation credits [it's a separate entry field at SPCNET] in the Reading Room so it'll be there when I download the revised chapter there.
