Omg I found this thread, I really like this series, I am at the part where he meet his wife agian after 11 years, it was so touching. This is my first series watching this actor, and I am loving him so far!

Ps I really hate the wig on the princess, from the opening theme I see he will marry the princess as well, UHG why?? Oh well at least he never want cheated on his wife, I don;t know why she is soo nice, to allow him to have a nother one lol,

I just finish the series last night, I really enjoyed it! Yes He dose have two wife, I grew to like the princess. I thought this was a great production, the effects wasn't over used, and it dosen't drag. However I thought the old man, heh forgot his name , the emperor's uncle was annoying, and over acts. Usually it would be boring to watch the old people, talk about politics but I really enjoy the old mens in here, the old Emperor's sidekicks. My first series with Bao Jian Feng, and I am loving him!

Started this series last night and found it quite interesting. I'll post more of my impressions after a few more episodes.

Generally a pretty good series with a few head scratchers. It was kind of hard to believe that the hero was so naive that the head of his army group, along with his sons and nephews, could keep fooling him for nearly 10 years. Thankfully they got their just punishment. The Prince and his wife were disgustingly corrupt and self-serving, so their deaths were very satisfying. The actor that played the Prince I have seen in several series and I thought he was a terrible actor. He got it right in this series but tended to be a bit over the top in his portrayal, but he did get you to hate him. His wife was well played as well. The actress that played Yiny was great and the Princess was good, but not great. Her servant girl was very good. The actor that played the enemy army commander is a familiar face, shaved head and all, who came across as a cold, calculating, arrogant, reptilian character whose death was quite satisfying as well.

Was interesting at the start, but starting to get a bit dumb in the middle. Probably they shouldn't have made it so long to keep the story compact. Some of the people and actions are getting a bit dumb.

Lol. There was one part where XRG said of ZSG as a 大混蛋, and I thought, "XRG you are a 大笨蛋".

Can't believe I'm still watching although the directors made XRG and other people of the Tang Dynasty look so stupid.
