This is my little review/analysis:
Shaggy Dog:
If you are looking for laughter and excitement, then come and see this movie. It's hilarious! I actually could say that you will laugh till you peed in your pants. Yeah, that's how funny this movie is.
The theme of family is very prominent, which consists of a workalcoholic father who doesn't understand about his family needs and wants. He was so wrapped with with his work that he abandoned his family and it took a toll on his family as well. However, an ancient dog (300 years or so) appeared and changed this man's valubles and his priorities. He began to see what he has been missing (the precious moments with his wife, son and daughter). He realized how little he knew about his two kids and how he missed seeing them growing up without much of his presence.
The theme of standing up for oneself is very vivid from being of this movie to the end. The display of right activists again the corp., the stubborn belief of a daughter against her father's wish defining all boundaries of parenthood. However, somehow in the end, victory for those who stand up and believe themself and the righteousness.
The theme of parents vs children: divorce. It shows that children in this society indeed are afraid of seeing their parents divorce and do not love one another anymore. Although kids would love to have both parents and live life on multiple allowances, but when it comes down to the child's feelings, it is the vulnerability and the fear of seeing the two people they look up to most are now no longer together.
Hilarious scenes from when man turns into dog and vice versa. It will leave the viewers breathless not from being stunted but from laughing so hard that one will need to take deeper breath and brace self for more laugher in the next minute or two. It is hearten to see a happy ending where one does learn the lesson and correct the wreck that was left hanging for years. Last word, if any viewers are curious about this movie, ask yourself ido you want to see a dog mediate and exactly how a man can turn into a dog? Leave you wondering doesn't it?
