there's just not enough good women players now. kind of dissapointing.
i agree. i think sharapove is highly overrated, not in terms of looks but in skills. the william sisters are injury prone. then theres the backhand master, forgot her name, of belgium, but she also injury prone. it must be fate for LINA to become the next... WORLD #1!!!!!!

    Justine Henin-Hardene (sp?)

I highly doubt Li Na will ever be number 1... (sadly)

i don't watch women's tennis anymore though. it used to be good back in the days of hingis, davenport, williams etc.

French open starts next month? Or did i make that up...

lol - someone's a big fan of Li Na. but i agree with 0-0-0...i don't think she will be the next world #1...not when there's still players like Mauresmo, Henin Hardenne, sharapova & even the williams sisters.

sharapova may be over rated, but she's still a very good tennis player. I would choose her any day over Li Na in terms of skill. just can't stand her grunting - but she got the determination.

nah, grunting is the word for the williams sisters. sharapova is more of a squeal/shriek.

Sharapova is a decent tennis player but for some reason, i can't remember seeing her hit anything but hard and flat. Now FEDERER has such a versatile game and such a good variety of shots. Well, i guess it's fairly obvious they're not in the same league... i guess a better comparison would be Martina Hingis, who has nice variety.

since Justin got divorced, you can drop the ex. husband's last name and not have to worry about spelling errors. I could never spell that last name correctly. Henin was much easier to remember.

yep. I was so surprise. it's the first ever time Nadal lost to Federer on clay. This was totally unexpected. But I wonder if Federer could continue this towards French Open.

Nadal at 17: ooh... he's pretty good for a 17 year old
Nadal now: what is up with his tight pants?

Nadal won majors at an earlier age than his "rival" Federer (in pro. circuit) who didn't win any title when Agassi and Sampras still active. Nadal, play with lots of passion and spectacular top spin forehand which work wonderfully on clay court, to be an all-around player he need to improve his volley and serve especially on grass. Nadal still have room for improvement, but Federer is at his peak, it will be intersting to see how long he can hang around up and coming player like Djokovic then verteran player like Canas, Hass, and etc.

and federer's not really at his peak yet. he have yet to attain his best in clay court. if he wins french open, then only i would think of him at his peak.

    ah, someone keep me updated.

actually, why do i need updates? we all know it'll be Federer who wins!

i think neither Nadal nor Federer is at their peak. From memory, Nadal is more like 20.

i did hear that all the US men's players were knocked out in the first round
also that women's singles is translated as "simple dames"
