earlier than you thought? I was annoyed because it started half an hour later for me than the TV guide told me, so I ended up catching even less of the match. I had to leave during 5 5 in the first, but couldn't resist staying until federer saved 3 consecutive set points, then another two, and then won the set.
Needless to say, i was very late.
But i was still happy
i didn't have any tv guide and i made the HUGE mistake of not checking the time online - because i assumed the match started at 7 in the evening instead of 1. which means i didn't watch even a second of it

PARIS (AP) -- David Nalbandian beat Roger Federer for the second time in less than two weeks on Thursday, earning a 6-4, 7-6 (3) victory in the third round of the Paris Masters.
The result evened the series between the two 8-8 and ended Federer's streak of reaching the final in eight straight tournaments -- going back to May.
"It's not easy being aggressive against him when you're 3 meters (10 feet) behind the baseline," said Federer, who lost to the Argentine in the final of the Madrid Masters on Oct. 21.
"He's got a phenomenal backhand and can dictate play from both sides," said Federer, who lost for the eighth time this season. Guillermo Canas and Rafael Nadal also have beaten Federer twice each while Novak Djokovic and Filippo Volandri also have beaten the Swiss star.
"I wish conditions were a bit faster because indoors is supposed to be fast," Federer said. "Not here, I guess."

Nalbandian didn't complain.
"Well, it's different," Nalbandian said. "Over there (in Madrid) it's a little faster."

and you thought Nalbandian hurt Nadal in Spain, the Paribas Masters was terrible, he put down Federer and Nadal again.
put Nadal away 6-4, 6-0 to win the Paribas Masters, too bad he chokes the chicken on the major tournaments.
Nalbandian is one of very few people with a winning record against federer. The last time, he broke Federer's finals streak- absolutely devastated because it was such a close game and Federer just played SO BADLY... plus he was like, on par with the record or something!
Actually, i'm pretty fond of nalbandian. It's Nadal i don't like. Nadal, Hewitt, Philopousis (however you spell his name, Mr let's date 40 women)
