Default Table Tennis / Ping Pong

This is the Asian sport, the Chinese have been champions in this sport for the last few decades. Do you guys here play it? It is a very fun and exciting sport, and I feel that it takes much more aim/accuracy and reflexes than any other sport.

Yep, my dad and I used to play it frequently and I had some formal training. Haven't played it for a while now as I'm too busy and do cardio training and weights instead. I agree that it's a lot of fun and is a very sophisticated sport.

Like Candide, I used to play alot, but not so much anymore due to time constraints. It's definitely a fun sport.

I would hesistate to call it the Asian sport. It originated in europe and is still quite popular there. The chinese have been quite dominant but the euros aren't poor either. Jan-Ove Waldner of Sweden is also considered by many to be the best player ever.

i've played a bit of table tennis. Reflexes are ok, which makes it easier, but because i don't play much, spin is competely beyond me.

I think many of us here play pingpong at least once sometime in their life. just like badminton, it's an easy sport for beginners. I love playing it.

I play with my dad, some of his friends, and at a club in school. My dad once won a minor amateur tournatment but it was 18 or above only and I could have beaten him . Most of the kids at school don't even know half the rules, except for the Asian ones of course. I used to make about $20 a week at school playing Ping Pong for money.

I like ping-pong even though it's an asian sport. My friend and I played it during school when we had spare time. Quite interesting though.

Spin and chop is easy - nearly similar to the way u do backspin./topspin in tennis.

I remember watching ping pong when I was younger and thinking to myself how cool it was.....the ball really goes so incredibly fast.

I took a class for fun because my friends were in it and now I'm in love with it. It's definitely a very fun way to exercise. I'm more of a spin/curve person and when I do do smashes, my hand changes grip because I can only smash in the pen grip and not the tennis girp.
