She and Liang Jia Ren hold the unchallenged positions for Guo Jing & Huang Rong in ROCH 1983. Nobody ever come close to these two. Whenever I think of old GJ & HR, I can't think of anybody but these two.

I can also say the same thing for LMC & Ye LuChi (Simon Yam) in ROCH 1983. I can't find pictures of LMC & YLC though

Agree that Au Yeung Pui San is the best Huang Rong. She look good at that age and she has a very smart and sharp look to.

My favorite Dagger Lee movie: Return of the Sentimental Swordsman (1980). The performances are absolutely awesome, especially Ku Feng as a can-be playful Shangguan Jinhong. I absolutely love the time when Dagger Lee asked him to show his rings, and he let out a loud cry while raising his hands, and Dagger Lee thought "oh sh*t", but it turns out he was just playing with Dagger Lee

kind of weird to have Fu Sheng playing a guy like Jin Wuming though..

Ku Feng's gotta be one of my favourite actors of all time; could be the most prolific of all time too

yuen wah shouldve been given more bigger roles

i like Fu Sheng no matter what role he plays. Based on his persona they made a few weird casting decisions for him though.

You got that right about Ku Feng. I gotta go find the pic of him playing Wu Song's brother Wu Da!

Ahaha, there he is beside Ti Lung. Compare that side by side with one of his suave white bearded leaders of wulin roles. The guy's a genius!

LOL. its from li hanxiang's Tiger Killer in '82. Ti Lung plays a good Wu Song. Ku Feng also manages to shrink himself down to like 3.5-4 feet tall throughout the movie

Without a doubt! I am an avid collector of All Chu Yuan's wuxia adaptations.

Agree! I don't like the costume and the bad wig. I think Ling Yun (the guy who played Yan 13 in Death Duel) could make a better Jing Wu Ming, but Fu Sheng was rising star alongside Ti Lung at the time.

The same could be said for Chu Yuan's adaptation of Gu Long's Hero without Tears, his longest wuxia film adaptation, Alex Fu Sheng looked like he was sleepwalking throughout the film, probably his worst performance in all Chu Yuan's films, but Derek Yee, my favorite, Ku Feng, a veteran, and Yueh Hwa, rescued the film. This film was running at around 120 minutes, full of intriques, betrayals and crosses, it was also the first film debut by Angie Chiu, a former TVB sweetheart and Miss HK Contestant (was it in 77 ?).

Ku Feng's gotta be one of my favourite actors of all time; could be the most prolific of all time too
    Agree!

Always.. always.. There is no comparison with today's CGI heavy wuxia movies with bad acting and teenage idols and HK doesn't make these masterpieces anymore.

Good point, I forgot how famous he was back in the 70s and his pony hairstyle was the HK fashion stable for youngsters at the time.

Have you watched The Avenging Eagle with Ti Lung, Fu Sheng and Ku Feng ? Shaw had his hair in real ancient style in there not the typical 'bad wig' hairstyle. This movie is also another masterpiece from Shaw.

oh yeah; i love that movie. Thats my favourite kind of Ku Feng role. And your right, Fu Sheng looks good in it. In my opinion, his natural hair is best for shaolin films, but in ancient wuxia, he does look better in ancient style. Like, he's the best Xiao Yu'er, but hair, plus wig, coupled with his short, stocky build, it looks like he's got a 30 pound dead animal on his head

Ku Feng is definitely among the best HK actors ever, I dare to make the same claims for Ti Lung, his wuxia portrayals of Zhao Wuji, Chu Liu Xiang, Li XunHuan, Fu HongXue, Xiao Shiyi Lang, Chen JiaLuo, Shen Sheng Yi are priceless.

I also love Derek Yee (Erl Tung Shen) performance in most Shaw's Brothers wuxia films. Believe it or not I like his Zhang Wuji better than Tony Leung, and his portrayal of The Third Master Xie Xiao Feng and Ah Fei are matchless. And of course Yueh Hwa, his Lu Xiang Chuan and Wu Hua are classics.

Fu Sheng, yep Fu Sheng is Fu Sheng, the one and only Alex Fu Sheng, the best Xiao Yu Er ever. IMHO, we probably won't see the actor by the name of Jackie Chan today, had Alex Fu Sheng didn't die in that car accident that took his life.
