i'm just asking if it's good. i'm only 17 years old, i HOPE i'm still considered as the "younger audience" --- i enjoyed the 80's version. i'm only asking for opinions of this.

does the chemistry between GJ & HR the same as in the book? is this related to the book? i don't base it on ENTiRELY on the whole differences from the 80's, 90's, and now. THANKS.

well viet girl, the series hasn't aired yet, so don't judge by pictures. if you seen the 18 minute trailer you can get an idea of how good this series looks. but thats just my opinion.

what i ment is age doesn't matter to watch this version, its just the main casts are pop stars which appeals more to younger viewers. so most people who are bias from watching the 80s version or other versions always have something negative to say about this one. so they mainly say stuff about the casting imo i think they fit their roles perfectly from watching them in other series.

remember main guy hu ge playing as guo jing had a car accident, the main lead ariel lin, huang rong finished filming another series before this one in which she had to gain alot of weight, then lose alot of weight for this series within a month.

viet girl you will probably love this version since your pretty young yourself, and the old tvb version wouldn't appeal to you. try watching 2003 the fighting scenes and scenery are very nice. then you can later compare to this version when it comes out.

I guess the soundtrack you mention here is the song from 18 min trailer. If that's right, you can download here. This is a song from Hu Ge's new album which is published on 12-05-2008 called "However Dark Cloud" . Enjoy:

thanks (: actually i don't really care about the differences. i just want to see if they're actually good enough to like 'touch' me, make me cry, make me feel the same things as the characters.

i actually like the 80's series. (i know very off!) they're graphic/quality isn't good but the plots are good (not just talkin about LOCH stuff).

I do like the scenery from the newer series; like they're colorful & vivid. I don't really like the CGI fighting scenes.

since Hu Ge is in it, i'll def check it out. i didn't notice something different... his eye. poor him, did he have surgery on BOTH eyes? or just one?

well in that picture it was before his surgery i think. u can definately tell if it was after hisn surgery. im not sure if it was on both or one, but its more obvious on his right one (left if ur looking at a picture of him), especially when he stares or something. one eye seems a lot bigger than the other. or maybe its only from some angles...look at the pictures below; he kinda looks plastic and weird in the first one, though i think that now (a while after surgery) hes recovering and his facial expressions are getting better. but its really not that bad. i feel bad for him though

yeah my family n friends love the 80's tvb serial. don't care how cheesy or graphic wise, but their actors/actresses n story are really good. some reason the old school actors can act way better then these newer ones. their same age as well when starring in a series, i guess the standards now a days are low.

reason why i'm so picky about certain series, most series now a days rely on flashy cgi, plot, costumes, story, etc r usually horrible. but i do watch some series with actors i recognize tho. this on looks pretty good considering hu ge and ariel lin last collaboration together was good.

all i want is a good story, character development, mood, ost, chemistry and fight scenes. don't care of theirs no cgi or not as long as choreography is like yuen wo pings or donnie yen type of fighting its cool. from LGL other serials his fightings scenes are usually done nicely not too much wire work etc unlike ZJZ series.

Now all China pays its attention to the the earthquake-ravaged province of Sichuan on May 12th, 2008. I think the airing of the film will be postponed until after Olympics.

In some aspects, I think it is good because now everyone in China have more things to do than sitting in front of TV and watching a film. China is now very busy with rescuing earthquake's victims and celebrating up-coming Olympics. It's such a bad idea of aring LOCH right now. After Olympics will be a good choice !!!

So this is kinda off topic, but Hu Ge's song for LOCH (Wu Yun Ran) is really good, but definitely NOT APPROPRIATE for an ancient drama. There's this techno thing going the entire time, and even a rap section. If they're going to use this for LOCH they better do some major editing. I just downloaded it off Baidu; if you're interested in hearing it, leave your email and I'll try to email it to you ASAP.

PS. I'm not trying to be too critical I'm still really excited for LOCH and can't wait for it to come out.
PPS. I love GJHR romance 10000000000000000000000x more than XLNYG (hate them both). Honestly, its so much for interesting and cute.

This is my favorite novel, more so than ROCH. I just love the characters and the plot. It's very adventurous. I don't know about this version, but I'll definitely watch it. I don't really liking Ariel for the role of HR because to me...she's just not pretty enough. She's very cute and bubbly and I think her acting is better than most actresses her age. But in the looks department, I don't think she fits. I like all the other casts and they do seem to fit the role. YH is hot for yang kang and I hope his acting in this is as good as or better than Young warriors of the Yang Clan. Hu Ge acting is ok, but I like him as Guo Jing. I hope LSS improves her acting in this series, but she looks good for her role too. Hopefully this remake woun't be a dissipointment.

Is Ariel Lin SASSSY enough to be HR?! haha. I'm pretty sure HR was very sassy.

Don't worry redfirefly124. The Hu Ge's song (Wu Yun Ran) in LOCH was remixed more classically to suit the film. By the way, it is not the main song for the film, it's just like Tell Her I Love Her in Young Warriors of Yang Clan or June Rain in Chinese Paladin, a theme song for love between GJ & HR, YK & MCT.

There are 2 versions, and of course, Wu Yun Ran in Hu Ge's new album is more modern than the one in LOCH !!!

I think 烏云然 sounds really good. Maybe little snippets of it would really fit in with certain scenes of LOCH.

i actually like the song. fits the scenes with guo jing n huang rong. yeah i think the dubbing sounds better then the one from TWFX. i don't really care as long as its not annoying since i'll be focusing more on english subs or khmer dubb when this series comes out.

Hu Ge is not my dad, Guo Jing is.
And besides I am inclined to a different opinion. Besides that I quite enjoy being contrary.
