See....this is what I was talking about. Chinese literature is becoming scarce or that the "authors" are too lazy to come up with their own. Chinese entertainment industry can't help but promote/showcase new talent by making needless adaptations. I'm done with this Chinese Entertainment section (unless it's an original work never-before-seen)

ZJZ as the producer always seems to overshadow the actual directors of the series he's involved in. Personally I like most of ZJZ's works (especially XAJH 2001 and SGYY), but not LOCH 2003.

I never saw the China version of XAJH. Who was in it? Are there any websites that have pictures of it? Where can I get it? I would like to check it out.

how many versions of XAJH are there? I only saw the one w/ LYP and I thought it was pretty good. I really liked the music/songs in it.

I saw the TVB version of 80's.. with Chow Yun Fat.
90's version with Jackie Lui
20 version with ( taiwan) with Richie Ren)
2000 version with Steven Ma Jing Tao
and 2001 cctv version with LYP

AMEN!!! I'm not a big fan of her but still...HR is someone who was really pretty and she didn't have a baby face like Ariel...she's just not serious enough to play HR imo

I only hate LYP's voice in the 2002 Legend of the Condor Heroes.If LYP use a better dub,the 2002 one will be nice.

黄蓉是个一等一的大美人，林依晨不好看，真的不好看，就算她的粉丝和更客观看待她相貌的人扔千万块砖头 ，我还是要说她不好看（窃以为远比不上翁美玲和周讯）。但是她可爱，从她的很多作品来说，她的确可爱（窃以 为她演的很多角色基本上是活泼可爱善良迷糊调皮的定位，非常讨好，类型化，但很多人很喜欢她）。而黄蓉最大 的特点并不是美貌，而是她聪明古灵精怪的性格，林依晨演了很多类似的角色，演技也行，可以胜任（尽管本人认 为她综合演技并不如周讯和翁美玲，但这种性格她还是可以演好的）。
　　流传最广的话往往最有道理，女人不是因为美丽而可爱，而是因为可爱而美丽。所以如果她演的黄蓉象她的别 的作品那样惹人喜欢，大家会忽略她的不足。

I think this remake is going the light hearted manner as it has the same team that made Chinese Paladin.

It could be a refreshing idea though... but for a famous wuxia novel? Right now, I can't comment on anything w/o seeing the show myself but something tells me it is targetted at the younger audiences.

I'm not impressed with the cast at all. Hu Ge doesn't look like an idiot. That HR isn't beaufiful enough (though she may look smart enough). I'm still going to see it just because it's a LOCH, but I'm probably not going to buy it.

I suggest that they use the GJ in ROCH 06 , he was a great GJ.

Actually, i have yet to see a really drop dead gorgeous HR... Barbara was just cute. ZX was cute too. Athena was prettier.. but she didn't capture HR's wickedness and playfulness for me.
So the one who plays HR doesnt have to be really beautiful for me.. but has to have charm

yea, i don't think any of the HR's have been beautiful, but they've all had a lot of charm and charisma, including Athena

Ariel doesn't have what i would look for in HR... she's too cutesie and not pretty


GJ from ROCH was goood, but as GJ.... no....... probably not....

i don't want Hu Ge in as GJ either... he is just not dumb enough

Yeah it seems like there is always another remake around the corner when the last one is finished. What's up with that? ZJZ is like trying to kill off the series and making it boring with so many remakes IMO.
