hehe, yang kang IS hot![]()
I thought the ZJZ version was very very boring. Bored me to death. i couldn't even finish it. i don't mind changes to the storyline of loch since i already know the story inside out and sometimes a little change is refreshing. one thing i liked about Chinese Paladin was the look of the series. they filmed in such a way as to make it artsy. every scene had a fantasy-aura to it. Yeah i love the TVB 90s style of storytelling.Ganryu, I think you should test some episodes online before actually buying it. People like me love this show (though there are some aspects that annoyed me) but those that loved the ZJZ version tend to not like this version. Personally, I think you would like this show since it is very reflective of TVB 80s/90s kinda storytelling. That is, there is more emphasis on character and plot than art and props and loyalty to original story.
YK being hot does nothing for me
omniscient storytelling huh. chinese paladin had lot of flashbacks as well. i didn't mind it too much. Chinese paladin was unique in the way they filmed the scenes and told the story. it definitely stands out amongst other wuxia series post 2000. is LOCH a similar style? yeah LOCH is bit pricy for 90 bucks![]()
Hey guys, what is the song name that plays over and over again during love scenes? It's the song being sung by a woman.
the song is called Wo Zhi Neng Ai Ni by peng qing i believe. and ganryu the series gives u that wuxia feeling like chinese paladin, 90 bucks is pricey you should try checking other sites. walmart in stockton, ca has some wuxia series rotch 06 n its only 35.00 for whole series uncut, try asking them if they could get lotch 08 for a cheaper price.
just finish watching this series 5th time, so good and touching. like how ending guo jing gives name to yang kang that part so cool. graphics may not be up to peoples standard, but hey they had like couple months to do it and finish filming, so as long as you watch this series with open mind not comparing to other previous remakes this series is really good.
alot of my homeboys and alot of older people in 40-60 like this version the best not being bias n all, everyone likes 80 version bc barbara yung is just so outstanding. so don't compare and you'll enjoy this series.
Finally finished watching this!
Overall, I like it much more than the 2003 version. For one, it didn't bore me to tears, so major points there.
But on the other hand, I'm kind of annoyed at some of the changes. It seems like they tried to make all the antagonists too... GOOD. I mean it's good that's their developing the human condition, and normally I really like morally ambiguous characters (they have more dimension)... but in this case, it really messed with the plot.
I mean, the way things end in this version, it's really a stretch if you want to connect it to ROCH.![]()
i stop watching at episode 16 already didnt really bother to finish it, im annoyed at Ariel's acting that's why I stop.
This is LOCH Lite. I'd disliked 2003 because Li Ya Ping made Guo Jing too dumb to the point of being retarded.
Until I watched LOCH 2008 which is a teenyboppers version of wuxia series.
The only good points that I can say about this show is Hu Ge, Yang Kang and the theme song.
Don't get me started on how all the major events were either glossed over or else badly rewritten, all the other actors and their characters were pretty sucking and looked positively wimpy compared to their counterparts in 2003. Ariel does not a Huang Rong make. Her dad sucks, Cho Bu Tong sucks, Freaky 6 sucks, Cheng Zheng sect sucks major. Mei Chao Feng is really a HIV disaster.
What's bad about 2003 was LYP's and Nicky'd overacting. The fighting, music, scenery and even the sets were really great. These, 2008 does not match in anyway.
In my book, LOCH 2003 would have gotten 4 stars out of 5 except for LYP and Nicky. As a result it got only a 3 as far as I'm concerned.
LOCH 2008 gets 2 courtesy of Hu Ge, Yang Kang and the theme song. Otherwise, it's a rotten tomato for it.

I just watched the episode where HR and GJ return to Peach Blossom Island and find the Jiangnan Six Freaks dead. I was disappointed. I thought it happened a bit too fast in the 2003 version, but it seemed really rushed in this version. I expected them to take more time at it since this series has 10 more episodes than the previous one.![]()
你看这些云彩,聚了又散,散了又聚,人生离合也是一样。
They shortened Gou Jing's youth in Mongolia, left out him saving the Khan from the Khan's best friend ganging with the Khan's rivals against him.
The producer took alot of time in long intimate moments between Yang Kang and Mu Nianci. You'd not be mistakened if you'd thought they were the main stars of the series.
I'd really like this version's Ou Yang Ke over 2003's butt-ugly-old-man. But this new guy is so wimpy as to commit suicide because Nianci rejected him!!! Totally unbelievable!!!!
I really hate this version.
Actually I liked that version of Yang Kang. He was convincing as a conniving guy who was always trying to cover his own butt and get himself into advantageous positions. The guy in the 2008 version seems like just a bland pretty boy to me, and the voice dub isn't very good on him. The voice just seems too mature for the actor.

Don't really like this version, the actors don't really fit their roles. This version just feels a lot different and not necessarily in a good way, the 03 version was boring but this version is just plain weird. I can't put my finger on it but I don't like it.
lol i like him too. and even though HXM's version was very exagerated at times at least he looked good `Xp
and as for zhou jie, well i didnt mind him so much in princess returning pearl (huan zhu ge ge) or the young judge bao (1st season), but this...yeah. i didnt like him either![]()
