    Default Correct Chinese Title for "Sentimental Swordsman"

    Hi everyone:

    I am new here.

    I would like to ask for your help to identify the correct Chinese title of Gu Lung's Sentimental Swordsman that I got from the movie made by the Shaw Brothers.

    Here are the 2 titles I got from the Shaw Brothers film:

    From the movie itself:

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.sharemation.com/vitoaidumetaydoc/taydocbucacvitoai/mataydoclacondi.jpg')

    From the DVD cover:

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.sharemation.com/vitoaidumetaydoc/taydocbucacvitoai/onggiataydoclamaco-2.jpg')

    It seems to me there are some switchings of a few characters between these 2 titles. Would someone please tell me which of these 2 titles is the correct one?

    Thanks and Cheers

    Seriously... both tittles are exactly the same... It's just that the first one read from right to left... Have u read the translation itself?
    仁。智。义。信。礼。忠。孝。悌。忍
    慈。慧。气。念。仪。实。心。情。耐

    Hi Vic,

    Thanks for responding to my post.

    I think the 2 titles are somewhat different. In the picture below, I assigned a number to the character which (I think) was switched. Please let me know what you think.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.sharemation.com/vitoaidumetaydoc/taydocbucacvitoai/taydocladochode.jpg')

    In my opinion ( I can be wrong), what is the 2nd character in the first title became the 6th character in the second title. What is the 3rd character in the first title became the 7th character in the second title.

    The same with the 6th and 7th characters in the first title and the 2nd and 3rd characters in the second title.

    Cheers

    The 2 titles are indeed the same. I think the confusion lies in the style of the strokes

    "We set out to change the world... ended up just changing ourselves."
    "What's wrong with that?"
    "Nothing, if you don't look at the world."

    Thank you!

    Wow! I did not know different styles of strokes would make the characters look that different.

    Especially, the character for "sword"! I would never think these $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.sharemation.com/vitoaidumetaydoc/taydocbucacvitoai/taydocancutcho.jpg') are the same.

    Many many thanks to both of you.
