    Default Yeung Gor's familytree

yeah, this is my theory about Yeng Gor's familytree: Yeung Gor's father is Yeung Hong, right? Yeung Hong's father is Yeng Tet Sum, right? And he knows "Wui Ma Cheung" technique? Because "wui ma cheung" tehnique is Yang Saga's family technical we can presume Yeng Gor is related to example Yang Yin Chiu(the only male Yang warrior to remain alive and stay with the family)?
Who is Yang Yin Chiu's son/or son's son? <-- this son is Yang Tet Sum's father?

Jin Yong never directly wrote about or even implied a connection between Yeung Gor's family and the famous Yeung Family of the Northern Sung Dynasty, but since Yeung Gor's grandfather Yeung Teet Sum used a spear technique identical in name and usage to that used by the Yeung Family of the Northern Sung, we are left to make our own reasonable conclusions about the Yeungs' lineage.

Jin Yong did explicitly write that Yeung Teet Sum was the descendant of General Yeung Tsoi Hing, an associate of General Ngok Fei. There are no known links between Yeung Tsoi Hing and the Yeung Family of the Northern Sung, but there's also nothing that flat out contradicts or precludes the possibility of a connection either. Given the allusion to the Yeung Family Spear Technique in LOCH and the fact that the Yeung ancestors were all associated with the Northern or Southern Sung military, a connection is very plausible if ultimately not provable.

Depending on which version of the Yeung Family Legend you're exposed to (and there are multiple versions), Yeung 6 Long had a son named Yeung Chung Bo (who was a daughter in other versions of the legend and didn't even exist in yet further versions of the legend). In this version of the legend, which seems to be either the most well known or most popular, Yeung Chung Bo had a son named Yeung Mun Gwong (some versions of the legend skip Yeung Chung Bo altogether and have Yeung Mun Gwong as the son of Yeung 6 Long). Between Yeung Mun Gwong and Yeung Tsoi Hing (Yeung Teet Sum's great-grandfather) there is no clear and explicit link.

Frankly, I think it would indeed be cool if the Yeungs of LOCH/ROCH/HSDS were linked to the Yeung Family of Northern Sung legend.

One relation they had to one another was that Andy Lau played both Yang Yin Chiu in the Yang's Family Saga TVB Special and Yang Gor in ROCH '83.

And Miu Kiu Wai played Yang Silang and he was also Yang Kang!! It's all adding up together.
