Default How long would you have waited for your love?

If you were place in a similar situation like YG, say if your girlfriend, wife, or simply the love of your life had left you a note or an email or a txt message explaining she must depart immediately for some unexplain reason and wish you to hold on a promise to reunited with her 16 yrs later. How long would you have waited before going for another girl? Or would you have waited? What would you do?

    I'll give my answer later...

I dunno.... YG is very devoted
and according to human nature, I guess females are more devoted than males... as they look deeper into the emotion area
so for a male to wait for a female... u gotta be kidding...

I disagree that females are more devoted than males. It is only an individual thing and where their values are.

I would wait a few years. But if the relation between me and that person I'm waiting for is VERY VERY deep (like 5 years?) then I'll wait for a few more years. But due to today's technology I doubt we would ever have to be separated for that long.

I'll wait till she comes back meanwhile having meaningless flings on the side. Since theres no emotions involved I'm safe.

Suppose the situation as in ROCH happens today, once XLN recoverd from her conditions, she can immediately e-mail YG about her location. She did not have to use the bees and YG does not really have to wait for 16 years. But, if suppose I am YG in the story, then, I doubt whether I can wait more than 3 years.

    Here is my answer.

I can honestly say I could wait 16 yrs for a girl who is the love of my life as XLN is to YG. If it is only a girlfriend who I am still not sure of completely I wouldn't wait. And in those 16 years, I would not cheat but keep myself busy pursuing my other goals in life as well as go on a journey to find her. To those who think it is rather impossible to do, if you have a strong core value and devotion, it isn't hard to do and the passage of time will be rather quickly, for example, you can look back 16 yrs of your life, doesn't some years seems like a mere blink of an eye?

YG's grandfather's situation was slightly different from YG though. YG waited for XLN. Whereas YTX didn't know whether his wife was alive or not. People generally don't remarry back then right?

Well, skip generations? Maybe Yang Kang is faithful as well, but HR didn't give him the opportunity to show his wares.
