Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Fun movie to watch. Don't expect Raiders of the Lost Ark quality and suspense.

sweeney todd: the demon barber of fleet street.

all the killing seemed like it was in the last 15 minutes of the movie.

Saw 27 Dresses on the plane. Ultra bad chick-flick. If it's only a lame, formulated romantic comedy I would have tolerated it.

*Spoilers* But no, this one is actually offensive in hammering the idea that a kind, good-looking woman who spends too much time helping other people out is not complete until she finally finds an undeserving guy to marry herself off. Along the way she has to be humiliated by her dumb-blonde sister who shamelessly steals her beloved boss away, by a dude who sells her sad perpetual-bridesmaid story to the newspaper to advance his career, by herself when she recklessly exposed her sister's lies during the engagement party, and in the end being lectured by and having to apologize to everybody who wrongs her for being such a selfless and selfish girl. And having to apologize to, chase after and confess in front of a microphone to the same indifferent dude who one-night-stood her and shamelessly sold her story without even admitting he did like her...

Yes, this is the best a Cinderalla can get, so gals, suck it up and be grateful you get to wear a wedding dress instead of a bridesmaid dress, 'kay?

Got the headache afterwards and couldn't sleep for the rest of the flight. Told myself it's better to stare at the info page than at an extra-lousy chick-flick on the plane. Argh.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

If you like Indian Jones, then this is a must. Otherwise, it's a really fun movie, definitely above average, but it's no Raiders of the Lost Ark.
My obsessions: Joy Division, New Order, Bones, The Office.

I also had seen it on the new DPL theatre: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_cinema. It's not bad viewing at the big screen with excellent sound quality, until the movie did kind of stopped like 1/4 of the movie, then continued again.

The Crystal skulls are actually real it said that there supposed to be at least 13 skulls in all; only 8 of them are recovered. Here is the link: http://www.scifi.com/crystalskulls/

just saw superbad and lars and the real girl. lars is the much superior of the two. it was very cute. it's hard not to like ryan gosling, even when he's being really creepy.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I had fun watching this movie. I like the humor of Indiana Jones, Mutt Williams & Marion Ravenwood, the Jones family...

Narnia: Prince Caspian. I actually like it.

It is indeed "growing up" - darker than the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe although it managed to retain enough magical air. With all the battle scenes it feels like Lord of the Rings at times but definitely sunnier. The action is very intense, well designed, and the teen actors fought very well for their age. Loved the trees and the river-being at the end. Great cameo by Tilda Swinton that makes up for the so-so villainy by Sergio Castellito. Reepicheep is fantastic and I like him better than Shrek's Puss in Boots. The presence of Aslan is sorely missed.

The Pevensie kids are growing up for the better. Acting improved all round. Peter/William Moseley is an eye-candy and does a fair job as the angry young man (his duel with Sergio was cool). Thought Susan/Anna Popplewell was average-looking at best in the first movie but here she looks very attractive (beautiful eyes). Lucy/Georgie Henley is cute as ever. But Edmund/Skandar Keynes really stole the show. With the few lines given he somehow managed to make me waiting for them. He was funny, witty, interesting and not to mention starting to look very handsome. A fine young actor with huge potential. I do hope he continues to act into adulthood.

Poor Ben Barnes look so lost in all the advertising hype and the movie itself. He was so handsome and charming in those brief moments in Stardust (I was like, who's that pretty boy who looks better than Keanu Reeves??) but totally lost his charm in here. I didn't even realize it's the same actor until someone mentioned it. That fake tan, accent and over-the-top bishonen hairstyle does NOT suit him. He needs to play the refined English gentleman.

It's not doing very well in box office but I hope they still make the next installment. Edmund has an important role in Voyage of the Dawn Treader and I'm looking forward to seeing Skandar's performance again.

I just watch One Arm Machine Gun Girl - tons of fake blood, yakuza, ninjas, shuriken katana, sushi finger - yummy!, japan shock to the max, fried hand - yummy, drill bra - cooollll, decapitation, pinhead but with nails - this movie has it all, superbly ridiculous and laughable and there is a superb homage to Ash from Army of Darkness.

arggghhh!!! I just watched Camp Rock. The Jonas Brothers were okay but the lead girl (Demi Lovato) was really annoying. The way she handled her role was too theater-like (exaggerated)... what was disney thinking?

Last night I watched Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. They're both films that were directed by Wong Kar-Wai in the mid 1990's. I love the light-heartedness of Chungking Express (Tony Leung talking to a bar of soap? ) but I think I prefer Fallen Angels....it's darker than Chungking but I loved Takeshi Kaneshiro's acting even though he had no lines since his character was a mute person. The ending of Fallen Angels was probably the best movie ending ever imo...

Each movie contains two stories that somehow connect to each other and it might be confusing at times but I think they're both still worth watching.

Taken (2008), new Liam Neeson movie, about a father tracking his daughter kidnapper, along the way, involve some killing & torturing, badass hand to hand combat and an increase body count by the minute
