I just watched A Fistful of Dollars. The first of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns that made Clint Eastwood a star. I had seen the the second and third films in the Dollars Triology long ago, but had never seen the film that spawned the genre. The film is a remake of Kurosawa's Yojimbo with the story transfered from Japan to a Mexican bordertown. Made in 1964, the film was not released in North America until 1967. The film is entertaining and holds up well for being almost 50 years old because of the strength of the story. However, the whole adaption seems to me to be more emotionally detached and somehow lacking compared to Yojimbo.

Correct. I have not met many Aussies here, let alone Sydneysiders.

Heart of Atlantis, this is a very good movie. Currently, signed up with www.swaptree.com, incase you got an old movie you don't want why try to swap something you do want.

Watched "Angels & Demons" last week and "The Young Victoria" this week. Enjoyed both although I think there are some historical inaccuracy in the latter (need to check my books again). Anyway, glad that both movies are enjoyable since I am not exactly a moviegoer.

Last movie I saw was "The Da Vinci Code" on the plane from Beijing to Sydney. I also watched "The Holiday" then too.

Terminator Salvation. This is an awesome movie, although from what I heard there are a few deleted scenes, once the dvd comes out. Well done by the special effects, sound, CGI crews, etc. There definitely will be another T5 coming.

I heard positive reviews about the movie too (despite the fact that they have to watch the next Terminator ). My budget is getting too tight, can't watch it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Dvd's are coming out faster than before. It's worth the wait.

Baby Doll & Rope were off the charts!

The last film I watched, The Man with Bogart's Face (1980), isn't a classic film.. But with the obvious Bogart connection and the plethora of classic film references, I'll list it here anyway.

I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually pretty good. And from some angles, the resemblance was uncanny

Solace, it's a very strange sci-fi movie explains about an intellegent planet's lifeforce responds by using your own subconscience memories turning into artifical life in order to communication. Overall, it's a good movie
