On the other hand if you are a critic and expect high quality try to relax and take the story as it goes and if you like Jonny Depp well it wont be so strange to say 'love is in the air', but of course its in Italy so what's not to say that romance is a european affair. If I give you my vote you will probably give it the flick, but it is better thatn your original choice.
I had put this movie as an alternative actually, incase the movie I was planning to see was sold out.I had seen Johny Depp movie and they are very good to watch.

Worth seeing at least once in your lifetime and not to be missed is -

    1. 'Rashimon' (english, french and spanish subs available for this) Japan 1950 Akira Kurosawa.
    2. 'Oldboy' (subtitles available) Korea 2003 Park Chan Wook.

Try to get a copy of Stephen kings original movie - The Dead Zone - psychothriller - fairly old but uses B&W when moving between life and death in thread of the story. its not the best pshychothriller but its watchable and realistic without lots of over-the-top special effects.

Dao jian xiao / The Butcher, The Chef And The Swordsman - pretty over the top and all over the place but I liked it. Fun little flick.

Jade Goddess of Mercy (2002) w/ Vicki Zhao and Nic Tse. Love story gone wrong. I don't know why it has to be that way or end that way but it did. Did not understand the whole reference or association with Guan Yin at all. Why the heck would Mao Jie kill the boy? Even if he was vengeful why he'd harm a little kid? Brings a whole new meaning to til death do us part. I don't know...didn't really like it.

    'Rango'
    'Red Riding Hood'

    Both fairly enjoyable films.

I have just seen Doctor Zhivago (1965). I have never seen more beautiful movie. Doctor Zhivago even beat my all time best, In The Mood For Love (2001). What a masterpiece!

The Sanctum - if 3D is available for this movie, it would bring more excitement while watching it. Good movie; dark and realistic.

Just watched Wanted, about the assassins with bullet curving abilities. [The Mythbusters proved that can't happen] An enjoyable, suspend your disbelief kind of movie. Angelina Jolie made the ultimate curving bullets shot near the end.

Well, I find that movie little off for my taste which clearly suggests that I have already passed the stage of blockbustericus in The Six Stages Of Movie Geek Evolution.
