    Default 2nd best palm style...

When it comes to the best palm styles, Sad palms and XL18Z instantly comes to mind... What about the next best? Thought of a few...

In ROCH, HYS claimed that one of his palm styles was inferior to Sad plams by about one level. Think it was called the five metal/elements plam? Is this palm style worthy to be the 2nd best?

    Diamond Prajana Palm
This palm style was featured in both DGSD and HSDS. Abbot XuanCi was said to be a master of this style and with this palm, successfully defended himself against YTZ's posion palm. In HSDS, Gang Xiang heavily injuried ZSF of Wudang with this set of palm styles. ZSF vomited dark blood and it was said that he need at least several months to fully heal.

    Iron palm
Trade mark skill of the Iron Palm Sec from LOCH. Qiu Qian Ji sec leader in LOCH manage to seriously injuried HR so much so that only YD with his YYZ could heal her.

Any other palm sets/ styles that are worthy of being 2nd best? Feel free to post them...

The palm that HYS claimed was one level inferior was the Peach Blossom Falling Leaves Palm (Tao Hua Luo Ying Zhang), formerly known as the much cooler Falling Leaves Divine Sword Palm (Luo Ying Shen Jian Zhang).

Xuan Ci used some Buddha's Great Warrior Attendant Palm (Da Jing Gang Zhang), not the Diamond Prajna Palm (which ought to be something along the lines of Jin Gang Ban Ruo Zhang). Although in 3rd edition he was using some regular Prajna Palm as well.

I'd be inclined to say the best palm styles are of Xiao Yao Sect origin simply because the other stuff is so good. So Tianshan 6 Yang Palm and that White Rainbow Palm Li Qiushui was using would be up there. Also Taiji is a contender.

Iron palm is decent. The Yang-est palm or something along the lines. I think able to match XL18Z.

Didn't someone tear an Iron Palm on Huang Rong in LOCH?

Yes, QQJ did. HR and GJ had to seek out YD for help. Most people believe that QQJ was pretty close to reaching greats level, but was too much of a coward (LOCH).

Jiumozhi's Flaming Blade Palm is probably at least comparable to XL18Z and Sad Palms in terms of power. This art when executed by JMZ contained more force than the combined forces of the 6 monks' 6MSJ (which were really not that great individually, but still!). Each palm is capable of producing several separate energies aimed at various targets, making it difficult to block.

While the 6MSJ of 6 monks were not like that of the Penultimate Energizer Man DY, it must still have been great since Duan Zhengming had a Yiyang Zhi that was almost as good as that of Evil #1 Duan Yanqing and DYQ was superior to MRF, who in turn was at the level of Ding Chunqiu et al. Abbot Kurong was better than DZM and to use 6MSJ instead of YYZ can only result in additional power.

In the novel, did DY receive a big Huo Yan Dao hit like in the 2003 DGSD adaptation?
