Gu Long wrote The Legendary Siblings in 1967. By then, he had discarded the traditional style of writing for a succinct yet artful "simplified" style that became his trademark.

Hm.. talking of Xiao Li Fei Dao.. Xiao Li Fei Dao is certainly darker, more mature, more melancholic. And Li Xun Huan must be one of Gu Long's characters who resemble himself the most, in my opinion.

But Xiao Yu Er tickles your curiosity, he makes you wonder what he is going to do next. The legendary siblings is certainly the more enjoyable novel to me, though not necessarily the better one.

Anyway, for those who have read the novel and have watched Jimmy Lin's version (I have not watched but somewhat knew the ending heh), may I ask if the ending is true to the novel? Thankss...
