You mean Megan Lai? I'm not too familiar with her and have never watched her series before though i heard she's quite well-known in Taiwan.

Im looking forward to the Dylan-Ady pairing again too...a pity i heard Ady is only a guest-star or supporting character in her at most. I think Megan Lai is supposed to be the lead actress or smth.

BTW, the other lead actor, Zhang Xunjie also acted in "The Outsiders". He played Ah Qi, one of Yu Hao's buddies and the one who was together with Hong Dou.

A bit on the characters:

Qu Xiu- Dylan Kuo Ping Chao
A cardiologist. Is a very hardworking and rational person. Secretly likes Mian Ning and dotes on her as they both are brought up by single parents.



Tang Mo Fan- Michael Zhang Xunjie
A talented medical student who is childhood lovers with Mian Ning. A surgical mistake leads to his expulsion from medical school and he leaves Mian Ning in Lu Xiu's care before going overseas.



Liu Yi Ning- Ady an Yixuan
Mian Ning is Professor Liu's beloved daughter. She has been weak since young due to premature birth and Professor Liu is even more protective of her. Is childhood lovers with Mo Fan and everyone expects them to get married but Lu Xiu's appearance creates a love triangle between them.



Sun Qie- Megan Lai
A dedicated news reporter. She develops a relationship with Mo Fan when checking up on a medical case.

Hi, for a minute, I thought Ady with the curly hair was Barbie Hsu.....and ady looks like she has put on some weight...has she? I saw her in Chinese Paladin and she was much skinnier there...

I dont think she has put on much weight actually. For the past week or so, her body was very bloated due to a serious flu she caught recently, plus she's under alot of stress i think judging frm the non-stop filming of series one after another. That's why the puffy face i guess. 2 resons for her weight gain: either she's eating healthy again or she's under too much stress.

I think it is just mean ( the reporters) to pick on her for gaining 3-4 pounds.. The girl is 5'5 and she weighed 40 kg during filming Flying fox

I think her producers needs some beating

Just watched the first 3 episodes. Rather interesting plot and above average acting. The music is mediocre but the editing is good. I like the way they inserted flashbacks here and there..very neatly done. I actually like how the male leads are in contrast with each other. Michael's a confident, daring, light-hearted and spontaneous dude whereas Dlyan's serious, cautious, rigid and traditional.

However, several stuff (like most Taiwanese series) are exaggerated and unrealistic. Like how great the doctors are, especially Michael's character...he seems more like a God-like miracle healer than a doctor. Even if he's supposed to be a genius, in real life, even the best doctors are not as great as him. And the way the surgeons chat and joke and daze off into space while operating on a patient is totally unacceptable. Very unrealistic portrayal of medical life..but oh well, we were warned that the series focuses more on romance and light-hearted stuff with medicine as the background theme.

I still don't think Dylan has improved much in his acting compared to when i last saw him in "The Outsiders II". He still wears the same limited expressions and is rather stiff. Don't like his character much too...very serious and rather boring.

Michael on the hand is a vast difference frm "The Outsiders". I love his character in here. Very cool, smart and cheeky. His acting and expressions are very natural and convincing as well and he and Megan Lai provide much of the comic relief.
First time seeing Megan Lai on screen and i find her a pretty good actress. She's pretty natural with her expressions and actions at least and her character is rather comical most of the time.

Im disappointed to see so little of Ady though. She appears in episode 1-3 so far but only for a minute or two in the flashback scenes. Almost like a guest-star. Sigh, hope to see more of her. Her character is very cheerful, naughty and adorable though and her acting is good as usual. I especially liked a flashback scene in episode 3 when she made funny faces at Michael..she's was very very comical and cute. though it lasted only for a minute or so, that scene was hilarious. Im actually hoping that she paired up with Michael now tt i've watched a bit of the series. Dylan's character is just too bland for Ady's.
