OMG..is that true? Ken Chu is however, famous for his bad tempers. I remember he was in S'pore a couple of years ago with F4 and he scolded some fans in a hotel because he was tired and they were pestering the F4 people for autographs.

It'll be so much better far as fan reception goes if they just cut all links to Gu Long's novel and set this up to be some new story!

I mean, so far almost NOTHING has been preserved from the novel aside from the names of characters.

This is not the only version to have those things. In the 1982 movie with Adam Cheng, the story involves Persians but the costumes in that movie were actually pretty nice and fit in while this one is out of place. Gosh, if only Ekin Cheng or Vincent Jiao would star as Chor Lau Heung. Now that would be awesome.

Nah, I rather not have Ekin or Vincent be forced to wear crappy hair and clothes. With the director quitting in mid production... can't say it's a good thing. I also have doubts about the quality of the script. As much as I would love to see either Ekin or Vincent take on the role, it's best that they don't do it for this series.

Actually, the groups of actress seems to be the attraction point in this series rather than the guys there. Heard that the director critized Ken badly and even to the extend that Ken is not suitable for his role as CLX where thats is the reason why he quit as a director for this series.

OMG, that is the epitome of ugly right there. i actually dont think the clothes are so bad if the right looking person wears them. the bloke with long hair doesnt look so bad in that ugly brown cape, and benny chan doesnt look quite as disasterous at ken chu. it all depends on the person imo.
i'm going to watch this drama just for the laughs

It's the posture. Ken Chu is slouching and his stomach bulges instead of tucks in. That's why he looks especially bad.
