I hope Ken pulls thru and work hard.. the impression that I had of him for a while was that he doesn't like to exercise and can be a little hard headed Filming a series is longer than a movie... and especially an ancient series where CLX wil be required to do some stunt work..hmmm

Is Hu Jing really playing Su Rong Rong? I don't find her very suitable for the character and she's a little too matured. I thought SRR was supposed to be played by some korean actress. I actually think that Ken is quite suitable in terms of looks for CLX and that's if they dress him up properly as well, he looks more suave thn Wallace or HXM but acting wise..i'm not really sure...

I agree......Chor Lau Heung ment 2 be slim and Ken Zhu face is bit errr chubby IMO.

The girls look alright for the parts - hope Liu Yi Fei get a part too

Why does LYF have to be cast in all the recent ancient series? Can they leave her out for once? She's pretty but it can be a bit over-bearing to see her in every series! Besides her pretty face can't overcompensate for her wooden acting.

LYF is probably not going to star in this for two reasons:
1. she doesn't have the lead, whcih is all she's interested in judging by her comments from DOMD
2. she's trying to promote her singing career, which i, personally, am unimpressed by because her singing pretty much sucks


Setting aside that, i am still pretty annoyed by the casting of ken in here.... ken is just wrong for the role!

here's what i've heard:

SRR was rumoured to be played by a korean actress, not hu jing got the role. and from what i understood, SRR is the leading female role. so lyf fans can back off, the role's been given to someone who can do that character justice.

barbara yung played a character who did not exist in the novel, but in clh84 (or whatever year), barbara's role is lead and SRR was a supporting char only.

in the book, SRR is the lead female char.

I'd like to say that i'm open to changes in the new adaptation... but Ken! That pretty much starts the series off at a 2/10
