    Default Conspiracy against GJ

XF in DGSD was well respected in wulin until Madam Ma's plot, in which he very soon became public enemy no 1. His links to the Khitan were enough to restrain the previous fraternal links of those he had considered his brothers.

Would a similiar plot against GJ work - given GJ's background in Mongolia and links with Genghis Khan and at one point even a potential son in law - at any point in the story of ROCH?

I always wondered if demoralisation as a tactic by GWM would have proven more effective. Even if it was not altogether successful it could sow some doubt in ppl's minds - it was apparent how fickle wulin could be and how racist they were (multiplied by 10 when in mobs it seemed).
TristeCoeur on Lady Yang: Someone needs 2 tell her that when u want 2 save people from being killed, u need to hurry the hell up, not play bull#### music & dance around. Her mission failed big time

I don't think it will work that well. Fact is, GJ dumped Mongolia for the Song Dynasty, for the Han people. He could have been Genghis Khan's son-in-law, he could have enjoyed his life in Mongolia, he could have become an extremely influential man in the Mongolia army. But no, he chose to abandon all those for what? To protect a crumbling Song empire, to defend Xiangyang and the Han people. Remember that GJ's mother even died so that he could leave Genghis Khan to serve the Hans. Why wouldn't they trust him?

Racist? But GJ is a 100% Han, which makes him totally different from Xiao Feng, and a lot more advantageous to him as well.

It wouldn't work. Gwok Jing's biography (born and raised in Mongolia, came back to his ancestral homeland to perform heroic deeds) was well known to members of wulin. Everybody knew that he grew up with Genghis Khan's Mongols, but they didn't hold that against him in light of his heroic record against the Jin Empire and the Mongols.
