I just finished TVB's Xiao Ao Jiang Hu/State of Divinity 1996 (Jackie Liu, Fiona Liang) and thought that it's one of the best adaptations of any wuxia novel (Plus, Xiao Ao Jiang Hu is my most favorite Wuxia story). I don't think anywhere in the series the existance or question about Ying Ying's mother has been brought up. It's like everyone acted like her mother's long dead and forgotten. While the adaptation is great, I think if they included some history or background on Ying Ying (and therefore her mother) would further perfect the story/tv series.
I actually have read the novel, but it's been 10 years, and I was 11 when I read it. So I've basically forgotten everything I've read other than who the main heroes were and the general plot outline. Therefore, I am wondering if in the book was the subject of my topic mentioned or brought up? Thanks
