Steve looked cunning as Nuerhachi. Is he suppose to be a good character in this new series? Is this based on chinese history?

Has anyone finished Tai ZU Mi Shi? I want to hear everyone's opinion about it.
To bubcas,
Steve plays Nu Er Chi who is the founder of the Qing Dynasty, so yes it is based on Chinese history. I think it talks about the time when he was young and how he met all of the women in his life. It also talks about how he founded the Qing Dynasty. I have seen another series that talks about him as well, but in great detail.

Based on 30's Shanghai days.

Yeah, I heard that he teamed up Annie Man in some series but many perfer their chemistry in Heroines of the Yangs most. Amy's character was getting dull in part 2. It wasn't her fault. She was pushed aside.Originally Posted by thythy

Because I watched it online 2 years ago on ATV website. They splitted 1 eps into 4 sagments so I randomly selected them. I clicked on a lot of boring scenes.Originally Posted by bubcas

ATV should include this blooper part in their VCD!!! I saw it on a promo clip. So funny.Originally Posted by bubcas

A good character & also has to be heroic, powerful, and authoritative..... rollup all characteristics of a leader that you can consider into this historical figure. As an emperor, the ruler of Jin Dynasty & the founder of Qing Dynasty, he would not tolerate if he found someone was guilty even his own blood.Originally Posted by bubcas

Just saw the promotion clips. I think this story introduction is quite interesting. In the beginning the narrator said that these are imperial tomb of Emperor Nuerhachi and his empresses....shell we explore more about him....(The scene looked great.) Then showed Nuerhachi (steve). He said "Am I an emperor?....NO!! (he said something....can't understand here). Am I a hero?....NO!!! I am just a lonely man. I don't want to kill anyone but many died under my sword" Then he kept on talking about his brother, his empresses & his lover. (my mandrian is not good enough...just understood quite a few lines.)Originally Posted by Trinie
I think it is great overall. Judging from promo clip, the casts' acting looked pretty good. I wonder why Dong Ge (Vivian)'s big brother forced her little sister Mong Ge to marry Nuerhachi? Nuerhachi was cheated by him. Dong Ge married to other general. It might be her brother's trick too.![]()
has anyone seen For You All My Life (starred our Steven Maand Kathy Chow)?
Thanks for all you’ve done, ejc. Realize NHH isn’t that popular but dialogue was easier to understand because it’s about everyday life and people. I saw a bit of Mo Jie and my head is still reeling from it
Have you seen Chun Hua Qiu Yue (Spring flower Autumn Moon)? Will like to watch it when I’m not so tied down with work. Do you know if much of the series is actually shot in Shanghai?
Thanks ejc999! I really want to see TZMS when I have time. It sounds like a great series. I love Steve and Vivien together too. The costumes in here are sooo beautiful. I think I will like this series a lot... Can't wait to see it!!

Nope...I've been looking this series online for ages. Just saw Viet version only. Have you seen it already? If so, can you tell me abt the story? i saw some screenshots in which Steve is very stunning. Kathy is so cute. Chen Hong is pretty too. I think I would like to add it in my collections.Originally Posted by thythy
Btw...did you want to know what Amy said in that clip you saw on AMY's site? That clip is just a shot scene of amy & steve. I thought you wanted to know the whole blopper part. In that clips, Amy said in Mandarin with big giggle...."Should be good!!"![]()
Yeah, most of 80's-90's Taiwanese morden series are not known by many. I think NHH had released on VCD/DVD b/c I saw the advert but it might be limited addition.Originally Posted by ziaozing
How is Mo Jie? Who did shave Steve's moustache and beard in that series?
Not seen yet Chun Hua Qiu Yue. I didn't know Qiu means Autumn!! It could be a sad story. I might watch it but not now. I think it shot in Shanghai.
This TZMS is Steve & Vivian's No. 6th series. The settings are great too. I saw some pics but forget the URLOriginally Posted by Trinie
. if I could find them, I'd post the links.
Here is a list of Steve's works I've known so far (some of his shows I've not known yet.) I haven't watched chinese series a lot so I don't know most of steve's co-stars. I copied their name from yesasia, layoyo & spcnet review.![]()
