I also read about steve’s singing the title song of Wei Ni Ren Shao. It’s called in Chinese, which means You Are My Life’s something. Can’t figure out entire title.

I think This Life This Generation was released on VCDs in Chinese. I saw the pic of Steve Ma’s series collections in VCD box sets (up to Xiao Zhaung Mi Shi 2003) posted by one of Steve’s fans.

In fact, I really like to thank Steve Ma’s fans whoever posted those pics to his sites. Without their contributions I’d not be able to share with you all. Also like to thank to everyone for encouragement.
I still have more pics of Steve but don’t know when I can post them here.

Dragon Inn is a sad tale though it’s definitely not a question-mark/cliff-hanger thing.

It’s been a while I haven't had enough time to search Steve’s news on the Internet in details.
For your information here are some brief info about him and his series line up for 2006:

1. The Great White Tower (《白色巨塔》 )
According to this newsletter and some from sina site, a Taiwanese production has aimed to shoot this series with Steve and other Taiwan stars. It’s an adaptation of a famous Japanese TV series about doctors, nurses and hospital environment. Also heard that the script is quite expensive and relatively unaffordable for the production. That’s a reason for the delay of starting off this series I reckon.
2. 《东归英雄传》
It said this is Steve & Ning Jing's 4th series. I don’t know the meaning of this series title and didn’t have time to check out what is all about. In brief, it’s a historical drama. Steve's character is like a general or a regent of an era. If I can figure out his character’s pinyin name it might help me to guess the story more. Steve & Ning Jing would be a married couple if the message from Steve’s forum I read was true. Just saw some pic and news at sina.

The official website of this series isn’t up yet though, promotion clip can be seen here. Honestly I feel unhappy with baggy costume and steve’s hairstyle of this series.....his appearance is noting much different from Mo Jie/Underworld/Demon world. I doubt that this series and Mo Jie are the same production directed by the same director. As least girls’ costume in Me Jie was beautiful but this series costume looks rather unattractive even for Ning Jing. She is supposed to be very pretty though her appearance is not as glamour as she was in Xiao Zhaung Epic. May be it’s too early to make a judgement on it since I don’t know about their characters and storyline.
3. 《隋朝秘史》
This series will be directed by director You Xiao Gang as the 4th epic/secret history/mi shi series. According to the news from sina, I think the title of this series endures “The Secret History of Siu Dynasty”. Liu De Kai and Wu Qing Qing (director YXG’s wife) will be Steve’s parents. I’m not quite sure about Ning Jing’s character. She could be either Liu Da Kai’s concubine or Hua Mu Lan (Walt Disney’s animation Mu Lan was loosely based on her legend). A Taiwan actress and the actress from Tai Zhai Mi Shi (Vivian’s sister) will be also appeared in this series too. If my translation is correct, steve’s character is a highly challenging character.

Steve & Amy have appeared in a show for somethig to do with LIAM on January 4, 2006.

Finally, yes Wei Ni Ren Shao is his latest series, not release yet. Hopefully release it soon. I am a kinda like to watch it. I guess Monica Chan’s character could be a ballet dancer/instructor in this series. I know steve has learnt ballet though I don’t know about Monica Chan.

Hey ejc999....thanks a lot for the info. As long as it was released on VCDs in Chinese, I hope I can find it. I'm possitive.

I just finished watching 《隋朝秘史》promotional clip via the link you provided. Buffering in every second is terrible but the clip is engaging. Cant compare it with Mo Jie or Xiao Zhaung Mi Shi because the story is based on Mongolian history background & culture. I think steve's character is a Mongolian warrior rather than a general or a regent. I agree with you about costume & hairstyle but they are not Dorgon and Da Yu Er in here. Some of English actors & actresses also starred in this series.

It looks like a retold story. In the begining/ending of the clip, they (the warriors) are heading to a battlefiled, and then the story is revealed.

Some interesting scenes I found on the clip:
- the two boys/brothers (one is Steve's character) grown up together.
- when the boys turned out as teenagers, the father was killed in a battle. He left his wife & the boys.
- the teens became the adults, that is, Steve & his brother.
- (Steve) Dorgon's mother Abahai from Xiao Zhaung Epic arrived to Mongo land. She dressed up like an English lady. I cant guess her role.
- Steve & an English lady scenes (I dont know what they are talking about because of terrible buffer)
- Steve & Ning Jing's wedding night or engagement night. On that night, Steve looks rather charming in the Mongolian fury hat. That's really suit him.
- Steve meeting with his long lost mother.
- Steve & an English boy's scenes. I think the boy is that English lady's son.
- Steve's brother & English lady scene. (I think they are in love) haha
- Steve & his brother's duel fighting.

This series is more likely to base on Mongolian warriors & the battles. I think it doesn't focus on romantic scenes that much. The most romantic scene I saw on the clip was where Steve dropped a kiss on Ning Jing cheek. Their arms around each other and looking at the horizon/sunset together. It was sweet!!

I guess there is no 3rd person bet Steve & Ning Jing.

Thanks for Steve's recent pic. He is still in his HOTNESS. Amy Chan also. Hey, I peeped into some messages thru the link and surprisingly found a recent pic of Steve & his ex g/f Yu Li. They were hand-in-hand!!! Smiling together!!! Are they going to date again?? Just curious!!

I think it came from Taiwan’s UDN news though I saw it from Steve Ma’s websites. Just manage to understand a few lines. It said that Steve Ma have attended 夏玉順 (his manager or whoever,the man next to Steve)'s BD in Taiwan he then surprisingly met his ex g/f on that day. Both were delighted, as they haven’t seen each other for 5 years. The news stated that this man 夏玉順 have planned to shoot/produce a series called 「愛在天涯」(Ai Zai Tian ….?) which could mean “Love In Heaven/Paradise”. This is all about his life/biography.
In this series:
林志穎 (Jimmy Lin) as 夏玉順
Steve Ma as 劉文正 (guess that his character gonna be a famous singer, who has passed away already. Sorry if I’m wrong!! Heehee)
It also has 陶紅 (not Chen Hong), 陳秀雯 (Don’t get me wrong. It’s Chan Sau Man, Amy Chan’s name)、張晨光 (Zhang San Gwong )、蕭薔 (Xiao Qiang)、伊能 and more. 張晨光 (Zhang San Gwong ) & 于莉 (Yu Li) are 林志穎 (Jimmy Lin)’s dear mum & dad. The 4 actors 陳俊生、王耀慶、劉至翰、& 鍾漢良 are his brothers (no idea who they are).These 3 actresses 蕭薔(Xiao Qaing)、伊能靜、& 陶紅詮 gonna be his sisters.

So what is 陳秀雯 (Amy Chan)’s character? Steve’s co-singer or his love interest? It didn’t clearly state. Regardless of Amy Chan in it, this series is likely to focus on himself, that is, 林志穎 (Jimmy Lin)‘s character & also Steve’s character. Even if Amy is in it, hard to say that we’ll chance to see Steve Ma & Amy Chan’s onscreen chemistry. WASTED!!! This was 2nd time I saw Amy’s name in Steve’s upcoming series. The 1st piece of news I saw in Amy site said that she would be one of the cast of “The Great White Tower”. May be it is for publicity stunt. 夏玉順 has been aimed to produce The Great White Tower also. No matter the sources are reliable, this was what I read.

This life This Generation was released on VCDs (in Chinese) but I don’t know where is it available at the moment. Also saw audio CD cover of This life This Generation OST from Steve Ma’s site. Taiwan’s local stores might have VCDs & audio OST CDs.

I showed this title「愛在天涯」to my freind. He said this would mean “Love In Heaven's Edge". Looks like this is about their whole family.....mom n dad, 5 sons n 3 daughters. Like steve ma is the only outsider. If amy chan in it she can be counted as the outsider. Tell u wat? They could be special appearances!!!
