B) A swordsman who claims to be Dugu Qiubai reincarnated taught him DG9J.
C) He accidentally stumbled upon the descendants of the Giant Condor - and those BIRDS teach him DG9J.
D) He found it being sold at a bookshop and purchased it.
E) He met the sole descendant of Ancient Tomb - the great great grand disciple of Lady Yang, and she taught him - love at first sight.

most probably sometime before the duel between qi branch and sword branch, he obtained the skill from someone. probably a desendent of ancient tomb. a woman he fell in love with. but because she taught him, he couldn't marry her. he wasn't yang guo. he couldn't go against tradtion, no matter how much he doesn't like tradition and convention. but because he learned outside skills, he decided not to interfer in the sword duel. the qi branch lured him away with the fake marriage, which he agreed to because he wanted to get over his broken heart. then the rest of the incidents took place.
