BTW, an interesting thing to note: There are currently 3 new but different mainland adaptations of this story. "Default the conquest" is one, "Wo Xin Chang Dan" (With Chen Daoming, Hu Jun and Ady An) is another one and there is a 3rd one.

The series is currently running in the mainland. though i think the last episode was shown yesterday. the dvd and bt is out. tvb bought the overseas broadcasting rights. although, I'm not sure if they are releasing it in hk.

It is mainland invested, the supporting cast is from the mainland and it is filmed in the mainland. But the production team and the director are from tvb, the main cast is also from tvb with the exception of the lead actor.

It is quite different (in outlook and style) from the mainland historical shows like <han wu da di> and closer, imo, to tvb semi-historical productions like <The Conqueror's Story>.

btw, the mainland version of the english title is "legend of the heroic duo" or something lika that

Just viewed the opening theme video. I find Chen Kun's voice pretty average..sounds somewhat thin to me.

All these English name changes are confusing me! The Warlords, Legend of Heroic Duo, Default the Conquest...

The preview for this serial looks pretty good. Sonija looks younger than she did in Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion. Chen Kun is a cutie...I don't know WHY they chose such an ugly picture of him to use for the poster/cover. Do the film distributors not know how to market their products?

I think this is a good series. All the main leads have acted pretty well. Kind of reminds me a little of Chun Qiu Lie Zhuan. THe story is really interesting

Any reviews for this series? Saw it in the rental shop today but didnt know whether to get it or not. How many episodes are there? Might rent it after i complete "Ping Zhong Xia Ying Lu" if it's any good.
