Default A historical analogue to Gwok Jing?

Gwok Jing was a fictional character created by Jin Yong for his wuxia novels. There was no real Gwok Jing in history, but this individual Guo Kan, who shares a surname with the protagonist of LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES, also shares some eerie parallels in his true life story with Jin Yong's famous fictional hero.

True, his ethnic and family heritage seems parallel to Guo Jing, but a total opposite in terms of his actions and allegiance.

Wow... That is amazing! Their personality traits are similar, and they were sorta raised the same way.
Guo Kan was staging an attack on Xiang Yang, while Guo Jing wanted to protect it.
    Kewl!! It's so bizarre!

There was an eunuch during the Ming dynasty called Guo Jing. This eunuch is the grand defender of Datong, and was involved in the diplomacy-envoy trips to Central Asia including Samarkand and Heart in 1420. He is also often involved with the Mongolian from his post in Datong. Guo Jing is noted for an episode when he wounded the prode of the Oirat tribe, leading to a raid by them and a subsequent engagement by the Ming army which ended up as a disastrous defeat for the Ming, losing 100,000 soldiers.

In some ways, Guo Kan was like Gwok Jing before the latter was asked to choose between the Mongols and the Sung at the end of LOCH. Like Gwok Jing, Guo Kan helped Genghis Khan and his warriors to defeat the Jin Empire and the Mohammedian Empire. Unlike Gwok Jing, however, who turned against the Mongols when he learned that they had plans to attack the Sung Kingdom, Guo Kan continued working with the Mongols against his own Han people. Guo Kan is almost like a mirror universe version of Gwok Jing...a Gwok Jing who chose to remain loyal to the Khan at the end of LOCH.
