I would of waited till the game was over. Let my rage build up a bit. Once the cup winner has been decided only then would I attack.

This guy was suppose to be a professional here. Not letting your emotions get the better of you should of been second nature to him. Too bad none of Zizou's teammates was anywhere near him. So they could at least try to pull him away from making a bone headed mistake.Originally Posted by KJ
The suspensions and fines both these guys got is laughable.

I think some of you here looks too highly on the word 'professional' here. Zidane is still human afterall, despite being the magician and professional he is. Being professional doesn't exempt a human being from reacting violently, especially when it's an attack what you consider most sacred and what you are extremely proud of.
Zidane ignored those insults more than two times. Did he not already demonstrate his professionalism? But the repeated insults just got to him in the end.
Just see Zidane more as a human and perhaps you will be more understanding and forgiving.
If someone at school says that kind of crap, no matter the consquences you'd want to smash the pulp out of them.
I think Zidane's headbutt was reasonable...now, if I were him I wouldn't necessarily headbutt the guy (it looks a little awkward) but I wouldn't just keep my cool. Anyway, it was the Italian guy's fault for stirring up the situation in the first place.
