Ah, I see. Thank you for the correction. I trusted the Deejay and she betrayed my trust . But she was right, it's a nice tune. Oh, and I managed to errr....______ the track "Let it be". I like the lyrics very much and now I'm curious about the movie to this song.

    There! Nice isn't it ?

Currently listening to.... the theme of Heathcliff. Anyone remember this "Garfield look-alike" but a cartoony round orange cat? I remember it's in the mid to late 80s that I watched Heathcliff. I was like... 6 or 7.

The movie was pretty depressing. A documentary of the making of the LET IT BE album (which had the working title of GET BACK), it was filmed in early 1969 as the Beatles were in the process of breaking up. John Lennon had lost all interest in the band and only wanted to spend time with Yoko Ono. George Harrison was resentful of Paul McCartney treating him as a mere session musician. McCartney was being rather bossy, taking more or less complete control over the project without the approval of the others.

Despite the tension within the band, they did manage to play well (as usual) and turn out some classic songs: "Let It Be," "The Long and Winding Road," "Get Back," "Don't Let Me Down," and "Across the Universe" are some of the highlights.

The best part of the movie was the climax, when the Beatles moved their equipment to the roof of their Apple Music headquarters building in London and played an unannounced final "concert" for an unsuspecting London crowd. It was one of rock's legendary moments.

    You're welcome.

The LET IT BE movie has not been commercially available since it was shown in movie theaters back in 1970. All the other Beatles movies (i.e. A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, HELP!, MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, and YELLOW SUBMARINE) are available today on DVD, but not LET IT BE. At least in part, it's probably because making the movie was such a painful experience for the band. It was also painful for fans to watch; you were watching the break up of the greatest pop/rock band of all time. Very sad.

However, you can see the entire movie (I think) on Youtube.

Start here, then follow to the other parts.

You'll be amazed by what the Beatles were capable of musically; you'll also be saddened by how this great band ended.

It's emotional, but other than when the Beatles are playing "The Long and Winding Road" or "Let It Be," it's not sad in the Kleenex-clutching way. It's more like a sense of sad frustration that these talented musicians, who had created so much great music together, were having such a hard time getting their act together all of a sudden. You'll keep asking yourself, "Why is John being such an asshat? Why is Paul being such an asshat? Why is George being such an asshat?" The only Beatle who didn't act like an asshat during LET IT BE was Ringo Starr, their humble drummer, who could only watch on sadly as his three friends and collaborators tore the band apart with their egos.
