I'm fairly new to this Johny's juniors scene. I first was aware of Takki's existence through that drama Forbidden love with Nanako. The fact that Takki was chosen to play opposite with the beloved Nanako tells me how much he was loved. I've seen two of Takki's dramas, Forbidden love and Yoshitsune. Ojbectively, I can see Takki is a very good looking guy but for some reasons personally I didn't find him attractive at all. As for YamaP, I first saw him in Lunch Queen then later Nobuta. He was alright in Lunch Queen playing a weird kid brother and has a really sweet face. I admit I always thought his features are too soft for my taste and couldn't see him as a male (and maybe up until now. That picture of his from jdorama.com didn't really help.) So I was far from being fascinated.

Then entered Kame from Nobuta. It could be that my attention was drawn by Kame that I didn't even see YamaP's performance. Kame was really good Nobuta. Later I saw him in Kindachi. Actually I watched Kindachi because I knew Masaya Kato was in there but Kame was a big plus. I ended not liking the story. Then I heard about Sapuri and Kame. When I saw Kame again with a more mature look and the refreshing face with such energy, I told myself this time around I have to check this boy out. I have to say it's the first time I pay attention to a young artist. I generally drool over the manly kind of man like Hideaki Ito, Masaya Kato, or Joo Jin Mo. I find Kame rather plain looking as oppose to Takki who is apparently very good looking. My friends who saw Takki the first time of course commented on his good looks when I showed them some videos. It's kind of strange that I didn't find the good looking Takki attractive but Kame the fairly plain looking one. I guess that speaks volume about how charismatic Kame is (at least from this POV). And so I started digging.

In the age of improved youtube and google I found information fast and was all the more fascinated by Kame's background. Next I knew the existence of Kat-tun (which I heard of before but didn't really bother to look.) This could only means that I have to plan my next trip to Japan for their concert and possibly to buy their novelties. (Heck I don't know what have become of me. I even considered going to a concert. )

And now I pay a bit of my attention to JE stuff. Reason why I'm lurking in the dark alleys of this thread and of course find it interesting how others see YamaP as I could never see him in the same light. I don't know if I'll be his fan down the road but for now objectively I can see that his face is very cute and his voice is nice. I like the Seishun Amigo song a lot. As for personality, I have the impression that he's kind of eccentric and a bit aloof. It's just a feeling I might be wrong.

    @strawberry

Takki was the first artiste I ever know who is from JE, but Pi is the one really propelled me into the JE fandom, I was never intrigued with the whole JE business during my days of drooling over Takki in Forbidden Love. By the way, I'll take your advice and ride with the flow, and see how everything goes. Thanks.

I really appreciate that the posters here do alot of thinking and say really insightful things. As much as I know that many of JE fans are made up of teenagers, I still get put off by endless gushings of love. I do get a little carried away too, when I see some fantastic performance by an artiste I like, but to spam pages and pages of forums talking about Pi's nice muslces is just a little too much for me. Which is why whenever I have a probing questions and un-fangirly stuff to say, I tend to post it here.

    @Grifis

It fascinates me as well to see other people seeing Kame in that kind of light, because Kame had never and will probably never hold the type of magic that Pi has over me. I am pretty new to the whole JE fandom thing as well, I only started actively looking for clips, pictures and information about artistes from JE this year when I watched Nobuta and 1 litre of tears.

Are we really that formal? I guess I am in a rather un-fangirl mood for the past couple of days, thus I find it hard to be all chirpy and stuff... it could also me I am acting my age as an old woman.

Random things I want to say -

Last year's Fall high profile dramas trio - Nobuta wo Produce, 1 litre of Tears and Hana Yori Dango - spawned legions and legions of JE fans. Most of the sites I visit have fans saying that they like so and so becuase they've watched one of the above three dramas. Some folks make references to Anego (Jin) and Gokusen 2 (Jin & Kame) as well but the majority of the folks stated the trio as the reason why they got into the fandom. These three dramas really did wonders for JE's business.

Takki... he never changes, it is creepy to me sometimes how he still looks the same after all these years. I find him kinda plastic looking actually, the same smile, the same hairstyle.

    Lol, you're not old.....As least I don't think you're old xD..
And yeah you're right...I only started liking JE and Yamapi because of Nobuta Wo Produce xD, I just noticed that...all these drama's attract females!..Never watched Hana Yori Dango....but read the synopsis....it's similar to Meteor Garden? or was it the origin of meteor garden? (From my knowlesge, drama's usually originate from mangas and novels)

And I finally found out who Takki is!!....(Yes I am very very VERY slow) The first time I saw him was in Antique...a...drama from 5 years ago hahaa...I was REALLY into food at the start of the year and my friend gave me that drama like earlier this year..can't believe it was from 5 yrs ago.....I hope I'm not offending anyone but...Takki is not attractive to me >.>", the first time I saw him in Antique....I thought he was not good looking...>.>"" I do admit he can act...because...he acted really piggy in Antique, stuffing cakes into his mouth... Ah.. well..maybe his looks has changed....cuz a person can change ALOT in 5 years.just like Yamapi xD
Anorexic --------> Uber hot, handsome, sxc, gd singer and muscley soo maybe takki looks better now? (Sorry, I didn't mean to insult Takki...but yeah..that's what a kid like me thinks...)...I reallly don't get why Takki is so known...why? o.o

Wow..I have just been gone for a night and I find Pi's thread has moved like lighting.

To all, Sugar, Rainingbakas, Beansprouts and new memeber Grifis,

    Hi to all ...

    Rainingbakas,

I hoped we did not scare you off with the way we write, I guess most of us are not adolscenets here so how we write and see things would prob be different but don't not let us stop you from the way you are, all right? As for me, I do not have a habit of writing short-forms so that could make my posts more formal too.

    Hi Grifis,

Welcome to the thread. I see that you are a Kame fan and you have good taste.
I agree that Kame is not fantastically-looking but he has charisma, in the way he performs, dance and just simply the way he is. The first time I took notice of him was in the 2003 JE sports day, he exuded a certain charisma there I felt, nothing in your face but a certain deposition. I am glad that you are begining to take notice of Pi, its never too late...as for Pi's character, I can't exactly pin-point either. I seem to know what he prob is like yet I still get baffled at times.

    Beansprouts,

You must see Kame in action to prob understand why we find that he is eye-catching and stands out. He prob might not turn out to be appeal to you the way Pi has but you would likely get a much clearer idea what Grifis and I mean. Of course, we should get excited and gush when we are all hyped up but drawing observations and asking unfan-girl questions is perfectly fine too. Its a good balance and we get the best of both worlds here, don't you think? As for Pi, yep, hang in there! Gambatte.

    Sugar,

you have disappeared from the thread for a while but glad to see you leaving posts again.

Takki....not my cup of tea either, prob an above-average looking guy but too soft for my liking since then till now.

    see you guys again.

Lol! Wow...Yamapi's smart! Yay! kewl xD I got this stereotype bugging me...that stereotype is....most actors are dumb and only act because they have the looks and not smart, that's the only thing they can do...<----OMG WHERE DID I GET THAT STEREOTYPE FROM!?....I don't think that way...but there's this stereotype about it....is there? Don't really like stereotypes that are one sided....eh...aren't all stereotypes one sided?...ehh...
Yamapi is smart! That proves that he is VERY hardworking! enhances the fact that I LOVE HIM FOR THAT! ^_^

I just realised that our thread has 5-star rating! actually how does that work? did some of you rate the thread? how do you do that?

Among the now disbanded kitty GYM, i like Hikaru among the juniors best, he reminds me of Pikachu! and plus I think he and Yamapi look good next to each other..they look like brothers!prob because they are both tanned and have good skin and cute in their own ways.

one thing though, I like Kame with shorter hair better..like the hairdo he sported back at 2003 JE sports day...don't like the longer haridos he sported subsequently. Nobuta was still acceptable.

    strawberry,
I've been wondering if can we turn this into a Johny's junior thread and not just YamaP? Just so I can fangirl at Kame and stuff since it's just a couple of us here who are into these boys apparently.

    beansprouts,
So who is your upcoming obsession now that YamaP's charm is almost diminishing and his image is fading from the corner of your eyes?

I'm not old old but I'm not young. I can't speak for others but I'm at the age when the thin thread between morality and immorality is never thinner not mentioning I might have tossed it out the window. I'm at the stage when I'm starting to be infected by the old lady and their boy toy syndrome. The first sign is getting symptoms like digging information on young boys, looking at picture of young boys and drool at young boys. That does sound pretty disturbing so I at least make myself the obligation that the minimum age is 20 just so I don't feel so bad. (Okay I'm just kidding. I think the only young male I like is none other than Kame. He'll be the first and also the last.)
