I have seen Love Generation ( I fell in love to Takuya Kimura here... ) and Friends... and I love Takuya in Beautiful Life and Hero...

I love the oldies of Japanese drama such as Tokyo Love Story, Ordinary People and Tokyo Cinderella Story.

I'll try to find the other two you recommend.

I watched and enjoyed these titles:

    Brand (older woman/younger man relationship)

Glass Mask (if you're familiar with the anime/manga. It's about acting, a girl of thousand mask. The male lead, Hayami, has characters of a perfect man. )

GTO (based on manga/anime. The story is good. Nice momentum.)

Shotgun Marriage (a bit draggy but it's fairly enjoyable.)

Wedding Planner (it's a good comedy and the opening song is very nice.)

Yasha (interesting story unfortunately I don't know much about it since I saw it raw.)

This is a gr8 show , gr8 storyline n one of my first too besides my all time favourite 'LONG VACATION'
also lyk 'BRAND' 'ICE WORLD' 'GOLDEN BOWL' 'ARTIFICIAL BEAUTY' and countless others ..

japanese dramas r not so draggy compare to korean IMO , more important there r hardly flash back just to fill an episode unless is important to storyline .... not heard any of my friends fast forward j-dramas but many who did so for k-dramas .. sorry don't mean to say they r boring but it's true .

    i lyk k-dramas too .. in a different way

I liked "Over Time", which starred Makiko Esumi and Takashi Sorimachi.

"Beach Boys", with Takashi Sorimachi and Yutaka Takenouchi" is also not bad.

Yes, OVERTIME was my favourite as well

I have some pictures of them, and I think can search easily from taiwanese websites.

    I would recommend another Jap show from mu4 chun2 tuo4 zhai1 ( I think Takuya...something...from SMAP)

Its called 'Hundred million stars falling from the sky'

    http://www.ads.cabletv.com.hk/highli...nment/0011.asp

    http://www.fujitv.co.jp/jp/sorakara/

Think it was screened in Jap in 2002

The story was superb. Melancholic..Twist in the tale.

Btw, what is the nationalities of most forumers ?? I just bumped into this great forum!

ha! I also watch from cable 56. this channel, and Channel 8, provides my staple diet for korean and jdrama, tho i watch the latter (much much) more.

I am also watching 'My EX'. I bet Hirosue Ryoko may end up together with Kinki kid. I think ch56 is currently showing 'Rookie' on Thurs or Wed but I am not watching.
