Why did Jiumozhi ambush Duan Yu in front of the Sweeper Monk?

In front of Xiao Feng, Sweeper Monk, Murong Bo, and Xiao Yuanshan.... the Great Wheel Monk Jiumozhi launched a sneak attack on Duan Yu, severely injuring him. Sweeper Monk then "threw" JMZ off the mountain. Why did JMZ do this?

well DY escaped from JMZ before and with losing the fight with XZ he was probably releasing his frustration
