I thought MRF was in his 20's and XF in his 30's.

    Northern QF, Southern MR

He was named as QF's equal.

MRF is nowhere near the level of XF.....

Just how many licks, I mean how many MRF does it take to succumb one XF?

I know MRF was nowhere near XF but before people knew that they'd always discuss them as Northern QF and Southern MR...

Actually, I've only seen parts of the 80's tvb adaptation on reruns. That show wasn't that bad though, from what I can remember. I knew that 6MSJ was invisible but I thought that people at Shaolin knew what was going on, especially since MRF's weapons kept getting destroyed. Did they assume that MRF's weapons were destroyed by his own ineptitude?

Was refering to pacifian's post saying how MRF was close to QF in martial arts but yes, you are right.

With DY pointing his fingers here and there while MRF stoof 10 feet away slashing his weapon, it doesnt take a genius to figure out what is going on.

Even MRF's underling could yell out a warning of 'Look out! Invisible Sword Chi'. And his underlings were not that high up the martial art chain. Anyway, with that yell, even if the onlooker did not originally know, they would have heard the yell and knew the truth.
