I have been watching the series that remember from my childhood and this series left me wanting more. I believe that overall the series was awesome but however i think the sixteen year later stuff the most interesting part of the whole series. On another note i really like the theme song and was trying to get it translated or something because my Cantonese is really rusty. Can someone give me a rough translation or the lyrics so i can look them up or something.

i remember watching one of the opening scenes, and they're sitting on a rock and Yang Guo is holding Xiao Long Nu but they never showed that part in the drama. did they delete that scene? or have you guys seen it before?

Emil Chow's voice is very very high and gentle, quite difficult for the average joes like me to sing his songs.. not as impossible as Eric Moo's songs, but pretty close.

yeah. i cant find that scene anywhere in the series. it looks so sweet in the opening scene.

Totally my favorite version, with 2006 a little behind. The chemistry between Louis Koo and Carmen Lee was fantastic. Recently Ive read the books and to be honest I think of these two when Im reading.

Best Hairstyle and face for XLN in my opinion.

Does anyone know where I can watch OR BUY a version of this series with English subtitles? Im vietnamese and I originally watched this dubbed when I was a kid, but for some reason, on youtube, the voices are MUCH weirder now. Id like the original version with english subs. Cant seem to find it. Im even will to purchase it if I can, but I havent had any luck finding it.

This version is not bad but ROCH83 with Andy Lau and Idy Chan is much better.

This version was pretty good, but Louis Koo's acting hasn't matured yet at the time. Now he's one of Hong Kong's most solid actors, but his early TVB days, he was still trying to find his identity. Andy Lau in contrast was pretty solid early on. His displayed a pretty wide range of acting skills in Duke of Mount Deer and of course Return of the Condor Heroes. I haven't seen ROCH 95 in ages and would like to revisit it again one day.
