Post Comparing the swordsmanship qualities/level of each JY protagonist

Let's compare the swordsmanship qualities and level of each JY protagonist. (no Zhuo Bufan this time)

Duan Yu - 6 Meridian Sworplay

Yang Guo - Heavy Iron Sword Technique

    Zhang Wuji - Taiji Swordplay

Linghu Chong - Huashan Swordplay, Dugu Nine Swords

Shi Potian - Xueshan Sect Swordplay

Not sure about others - they don't seem to like swords.

In terms of swordsmanship qualities and power - among Duan Yu, Zhang Wuji and Linghu Chong - who is better? 6MSJ or Taiji or DG9J???

i thought 6MSJ was the most powerful, you don't even need a sword, and can be ten feet away.

I wouldn't say Duan Yu necessarily had great swordsmanship. It's Liu Mai Shen Jian, not Liu Mai Shen Jianfa. 6MSJ is a sword, not a swordplay.

I'd say that Zhang Sanfeng's Taiji Sword is the best. I'm not so sure about whether Zhang Wuji's Taiji Sword is so amazing as to be > LHC, although it is surely very good.

Technically, DY should be first, but he is too inconsistent, so not him.
LHC has yet to master Break Palm and Chi stance.
SPT and YG both rely on simpleness + internal to overwhelm the opponent with pure strength.
Out of them all, ZWJ seems the most consistent and best OVERALL speaking.

As is said, 6MSJ is not a swordplay technique. DY is formless because he does not know/need form.

I think if it is only sword techniques, LHC is the best one of them all. But if you take into account the internal energies powering the swords, then YG is the best.
Burying his Dugu 9 Jian manual under an epitaph, Dugu Qiubai felt he has left his legacy for the next generation. He then moved to Shaolin to study Buddhism, sweep floors and tap elite fighters.
