Honestly, I will lose a lot of respect for Yi Chen if she decides to go down the "sexy path". I always thought of her as a more innocent and "good girl" actress who doesn't try to sell her body like most celebrities. That's why Zhou Xun's not in my "top fav actresses". Although she's such a cute Huang Rong and a very good actresses, she does tons of XX scenes in movies and is always posing in that way.

Red, yeah, I like Ariel for those reasons, too. Ariel doesn’t really like to do “sexy” scenes; you could tell/she said in parts of TKA that she was embarrassed, as well as in TJ. She’s very dedicated to her art, and realistically, I think it’s difficult to completely avoid any sex-related scenes over your whole career, but I don’t think she’d do any scenes like that for the sake of being sexy – just if it was a very worthwhile role and made sense in context.

(Remember the media rumors of "Ariel and Joe don't get along." and "Mike and Joe don't get along." and "Rainie and Mike don't get along."? All cleverly-worded media gossip that turned out to be false). Ariel's manager said she wouldn't let Ariel work with Mike because of the media circus if their former rumors were used to promote the series. Ariel and Mike are quieter people who don't go out of their way to seek attention and who try their utmost to avoid rumors, so it wouldn't have been a good situation for them. The rumors of 3 years running would be looming over their heads and only growing 24/7. Hope they can still work together in the future sometime, though.

Ariel Lin hopes to collaborate with Jerry Yan in a new idol drama entitled "Skip Beat", she said that she wants to collaborate with those whom she hasn't worked with before, and plus, Jerry Yan is a really hard-working artist, so she does not need to be too worn-out. This is because she has met artists who were lazy, some of them could not even memorize the script well, while some of them only know how to look at themselves in the mirror.

Ariel attended a charity program yesterday, and had breakfast and lunch with the children there. She, who possesses a kind heart, bought a few coin boxes to support "Mei Ni Jiu Bu Xing*" charity program to assist children living in poorer families.

When Ariel films for dramas, there is not a certain artist who she wants to and does not want to collaborate with. She even has a pretty image of bringing luck to the male artists, because most of them become popular after working with her, and the dramas in which she starred in usually receive high viewing rates. Four years ago, she had a conflict with Mike He, and until now the both of them still have not had the chance to work together again. Last year, there was an original plan of which Jerry Yan and her would collaborate in Hot Shot, but it was canceled as well.

However, faith is a very miraculous thing. "Skip Beat", which is a drama adapted from a Japanese manga, is planning to have Ariel and Jerry as the leading roles. Ariel said, she likes to work with serious artists. She has encountered a collaborator who did not memorize the script well, causing the whole crew to wait for him to finish memorizing on the set. There is also one type of artists who do not even care about whether their performance is good or not, all they know is grooming themselves and looking at the mirror only.

*Mei Ni Jiu Bu Xing: Literally translated as It Is Impossible Without Your Help. It is the name of a charity program that Ariel participated in.

Now I'm really confused. Is "Paper Rose"(Wild Rose) the same drama as "Skip Beat"? What about "Extravagant Challenge"? I thought she's going to cut her hair for Paper Rose, but after reading Skip Beat synopsis, I'm convinced that she's cutting her hair for this series. But then again, why is Jerry Yan in the picture when Rui Jia has been selected for the lead role?

Swim mei, you're right, this is Ariel and Rui Jia 4th collaboration! I forgot about "Seventh Grade" coz I haven't seen this series yet =P

EDIT: Okay, I just read another article that sorta clarifies my question. Paper Rose (Zhi Mei Gui) is a different series from Skip Beat (Hua Li De Tiao Zhan), so I guess "Skip Beat" is "Extravagant Challenge." Joe Cheng will probably be casted as the lead actor *sigh* Can't they at least try different pairing this time? I love ArJoe, but I'll seriously get a nosebleed if I watch them together again so soon. Jerry Yan is targeted to be part of the team as well. Didn't he look too old to play a teenage character? Nothing has been confirmed yet, though.

The article also said that although the male lead of Paper Rose has been set, the production team has another candidate in mind. I wonder if they are referring to Mike? *crossing my fingers* XD Paper Rose will start filiming Feb next year. Swim mei, do you know what Paper Rose is all about? I think you'd mentioned it somewhere on your previous posts, but that sounds suspiciously like Skip Beat. Will she also have short hair in Paper Rose?
