I've seen her movie Love Sick with Chen Bo Lin as well. I'm not liking it even though I like the two. Its nothing more then fluff. Nothing substantial. I wished they would have a more challenging film to do.

But like Chen Bo Lin said, they filmed the movie first, where they meet and fall in love, then filmed ITWY where they needed the long time companionship feelings so like how they met on the set of Love Sick and were already friends by ITWY.

Ariel looks so adorable and beautiful at the same time. I am so glad she has decided to stay on being an actress. She is such a natural, it will be a shame for her to stop acting. She will be filming a movie for In Time with You with Bolin next year. I am looking forward to it. I hope there will be a HuGe and Ariel combination too. Sitting them together at Youku award ceremony is such a good idea. Since Hu Ge is now single as Ariel is too, they may create a amazing screen lovers again!

"My fox girlfriend" sounds like it's inspired from Korean drama "My girlfriend is a gumiho" (which I loved!), but it's an online RPG game (I wasn't reading just now,lol, so I thought it was a movie).

Barely half a year since her announcement on a drama hiatus, the Taiwanese actress returns to the google box

Last September, Taiwanese starlet Ariel Lin announced that she would be making a "temporary exit from showbiz".
However, the actress was recently in Japan to shoot an eight-minute video that was commissioned by the Japanese Tourism Board.
During the filming of a scene where Ariel had to have her relationship fortune told, the actress tore a fortune-telling card by accident, which caused much worry for Ariel who was afraid that the action would offend the gods.

When asked if she would want like to find out who her Mr Right was through fortune-telling, the actress declined, "I think that I might have offended the gods when I tore the card. I'm also afraid of the results from the prediction."
Before she broke up with her boyfriend last November, Ariel had allegedly tried to hide her relationship by announcing a "temporary exit from doing dramas", citing health reasons for the move.

Instead, Ariel announced that she would be shifting her career focus on movies.
However, just yesterday, the actress revealed that she is in discussion for a new drama series, adding that the contract that was offered to her allowed for ample time to rest, with only a maximum of a 16 hours filming period per day.

The news of her impending "comeback" to television dramas drew criticism from netizens who called Ariel a "hypocrite".
It is said that the drama in question was one that actress Kwai Lun-mei and actor Chen Bolin had previously rejected.

However, Ariel's manager has since refuted claims of any confirmed drama projects.

"Only" 16 hours a day?? I feel really bad for these Asian actors, they always sound so overworked... T_T

I'd love to see Ariel in another drama, but preferably not another TW idol drama since I couldn't make it through any of hers (I tried watching ISWAK just for her and nope, couldn't make it past the first episode ). I'd rather she do another ancient mainland drama.

Anyways, Ariel looks so pretty in the "fox" photoshoot...though as ice_mountain pointed out she looks like she lost a lot of weight! I don't think she looks too skinny though, she still looks healthy. At least I don't want to kidnap her and feed her, which is how I feel every time I see Tang Yan...or Yang Mi about 2 years ago (but YM has fattened up a bit recently! ).

LOL... that's my reaction too when I first read it. that's twice working time than average people. No wonder then often get sick.

I would hope she'd venture to mainland this time. I mean, she has already *somewhat* made name, so why not go all the way. BUT I'm also thinking, mainland china artists seems more overworked

Ariel Lin looks like one of those big boned girls (but then I haven't seen her in person so I'm not 100% sure), that even if they are "malnourished", they don't look like it :P But I think she has rested enough that's why she looks healthy.

Wow she looks so slim in recent pics. She's always been tiny in my opinion. But has always had a youthful look...that has changed somewhat. Does anyone recall her shooting commercials with Jay Chou? Now, he is not a big guy, perhaps average size at best for a dude, but Ariel made him look like a giant in their pics! Let us just hope she does not get any thinner and recreate the bobble head look that was so popular in Hong Kong some years ago (I am aware she is Taiwanese).

I've just read rumours that Ariel is going to be costarring with FSF in his newest upcoming drama, "Lan Lin Wang"! (It's set in the chaotic Southern and Northern Dynasties period, FSF is supposed to play "Lan Lin Wang", a general during that period who often led his army into battle wearing a mask because his looks were too handsome/gentlemanly so the enemies wouldn't be scared, lol. No word on Ariel's character but I would assume she plays his love interest?)

I don't think it's officially confirmed yet but the rumours do seem pretty believable? If it's true I'm super surprised because first of all, I never imagined Ariel/FSF pairing up...and also I thought Ariel said she was focusing on movies (but then again there is that news article before saying she was considering another drama?). Have to say I am pretty excited though.

(On another note, I think someone should go update that hilarious weibo pic where FSF was stealing all of HG's onscreen "girlfriends"...first Ady, then YM, followed by LYF...and now Ariel??!! )

Hmm...I really wonder if this is true. Not too long ago we just heard that Ariel would be pretty much retiring from filming series. I don't think she'd jump into it right away, especially because of her health issues.

Yes, I have my doubts as well--will still wait for official confirmation. In fact when I first read it I thought it was another false rumour...it does sound a lot more probable than many other random rumours I read about though (e.g. it was actually announced by someone on weibo who has a "V", i.e. verified identity--apparently the person is an agent at a production company or something).

But, it could always just be "chao zuo" etc... (Though what can I say, it's been too long since I've watched an Ariel drama so I hope it's true...)

at the post #406 in this thread, the news said she revealed "that she is in discussion for a new drama series".

I'm really excited that she's coming back to drama... but I'll be more excited if she pairs up with FSF.

And yes, mango_cake, I remember that post about FSF stealing HG's onscreen partners. As to which thread I read it from, I can't remember.

I always love what she wears (okay not always, but most of the time) even when she's not filming, and just looking at her photos she posted on weibo.

Wow, that's rather egotistical of this Lan Lin Wang guy. He kind of sounds like Yang Guo at the end of ROCH, except Yang Guo wore a mask to prevent women from falling in love with his extreme hotness.
