    Default steve irwin is dead!

he was killled by a stingray.

THE Crocodile Man, Steve Irwin, is dead. He was killed in a freak accident in Cairns, police sources said.

It is understood he was killed by a sting-ray barb that went through his chest.

    He was 44.

He was swimming off the Low Isles at Port Douglas filming an underwater documentary when the incident happened.

Ambulance officers confirmed they attended a reef fatality this morning at Batt Reef off Port Douglas.

It is understood Mr Irwin was killed around midday, Eastern Australian time.

Irwin leaves his wife Terri and young children Bob and and Bindi.

I always thought a big crocodile or a snake would finally get him, but it was a stingray.

    It's sadly ironic.

To be perfectly honest, I always thought he would be one of those lucky people who could defy death again and again and live to tell about it before finally dying of old age at 92 or something. This just goes to show that life truly is short and unpredictable. R.I.P., Steve.

I initially thought this news was a joke. It's too unbelieavable.

    R.I.P Steve Irwin.

    Really shocked.

I've always thought he'll be killed by a crocodile, but a stingray? Yes, like Ken Cheng said: A sad irony.

I love him. He's one of my favorite TV personalities of all time. He tried to help animals in his own way.

    RIP Stevo.

Venemous snakes and crocs couldn't get him, but a lousy stingray gets him. Stinger right in the heart. He had no chance.

news.com.au is not the most reliable of sources but it's true. A friend in Queensland emailed me @ work yesterday and I was like BS, and then it was all over the news last night.
It's like when Princess Diana died. You think it's BS but it's actually true. It was all over the news here in Australia last night.

    Man, when I read this, I was s h o c k e d.

Still can`t believe that he`s gone. I mean, I grew up watching his shows/movies. And now he`s.......dead?!

It still feels like he`s still alive. I`m having a difficult time transitioning.
