Like his uncle Gwok Jing, Yeung Gor had multiple father figures, but whereas Gwok Jing's father figures were not in conflict with each other, things were a bit more complicated for Yeung Gor. Gwok Jing and West Poison Au Yeung Fung, for example, were two influential father figures from Yeung Gor's early life, but the two men were mortal enemies. Indeed, on the day that Yeung Gor met them both, Gwok Jing and Au Yeung Fung engaged in a life-or-death struggle with each other. Yeung Gor must have faced a dilemma about whom he should support. Yeung Gor had a similar dilemma when he witnessed the duel between Au Yeung Fung and North Beggar Hung 7 Gung at Mt. Hua a few years later. In between, he had neglectful (Yau Chui Gei) and abusive (Chiu Tze Ging) father figures during his brief stint at the Cheun Jen Sect.
