Average height of professional male gymnasts is 1.65m (5' 5"), but there are plenty of Olympian gymnasts (especially from the Eastern European countries) who are about 6'. Not beyond that though as height poses a hindrance when doing back flips and stuff.

I loooovvvee Eddie! He gave his 1000% commitment and dedication to Jump Ashin. The producer was just expecting him to do a few gymnast shots at creative camera angles and leave the bulk of the shots to his body double. But Eddie trained tirelessly for months in a punishing schedule to accomplish the jumps and moves of a real gymnast and convince the producer to let him do as many of his own gymnast shots as possible, even though he has never been trained as a gymnast. Hope they release a BTS video documenting Eddie's tough gymnast training just for this movie.

Hey ChineseChik, since you are so tall, do you play basketball?

Notice all your favourite guys play basketball? Eddie listed basketball as his No.1 hobby in his Baidu profile. YH tried to go pro in basketball, but didn't get into the national league. Peter Ho listed his most successful high school moment as winning his high school basketball championship!

Eddie with the 6'6" Godfrey Gao. LOL...Godfrey's slouching so they look the same height

    <Article from 2009 - credit: Asianfanatics>
Eddie Peng and Godfrey Gao touch each other; Godfrey admits he has feelings for Guei Lun Mei

To promote the movie, ‘Not All Women are Bad’ (女人不坏), Eddie Peng (彭于晏) and Godfrey Gao (高以翔) accepted an interview on ‘Azio Entertainment”. Even though the movie’s poster only features the three main female leads, not the two at all, the two of them still went on shows to promote the movie. They said: “The movie’s title already says that not all WOMEN are bad, of course it wouldn’t include us.” The two of them became good friends while filming the movie, and have the same taste in women – both their rumoured girlfriends are singers with the surname ‘Tsai’. However, both of them remained low profile about their love rumours and did not answer questions regarding them. When asked to feel their conscience, they both confessed that they were single right now. However, humorous Eddie used his hand to feel his heart, saying: “Is my conscience at this place? I don’t think I have… Do you, Godfrey?” Their unwillingness to answer made people feel suspicious.

For Godfrey Gao, who has been given the title of ‘Fashionable F4’, this is the first time he is starring in a movie, yet he is working with world renowned director Tsui Hark (徐克) ; he feels extremely happy. He revealed that actually his character was supposed to be acted by Andy Lau (刘德华), but at last he couldn’t make it, making Godfrey feel extremely flattered. He hopes that he would be able to win the Golden Horse Best Newcomer Award. Eddie Peng, who got nominated for Best Male Lead in the Golden Bell Awards, expressed that while he is looking forward to winning, he is maintaining a very normal and calm outlook, saying that he also hopes that he would win recognition for his role in ‘Not All Women are Bad’.

While filming the movie, Eddie and Godfrey became good friends mainly because they were i-Phone users and they both love playing basketball. The both of them are also very similar when it comes to picking girlfriends. Their rumoured girlfriends are Jolin Tsai and Dominique Tsai respectively. However, the two of them said: “We don’t rule out having a girlfriend in the entertainment circle, however, it is the feeling that is the most important.” However, when asked if they had a girlfriend, would they still deny it? – Both put their hands on their hearts swearing that they did not have a girlfriend right now. However, the funny part was that while swearing, both their hands where on each other’s hearts, touching each other, but they were still not willing to talk about their rumoured girlfriends. Finally Eddie changed the topic by saying: “Godfrey’s chest muscles are so hard, what a good figure he has.” Whether the both of them are telling the truth by saying they’re single, it’s up to people to decide.

In the show, Eddie and Godfrey also talked about Zhou Xun (周迅), Guei Lun Mei (桂纶镁), and Zhang Yuqi (张雨绮), sharing their thoughts about working with these three female actresses. The two of them expressed, they were a little scared of Zhou Xun, because she is their senior in terms of movies, and her acting skills are really very good, hence they were a little awed by her. Zhang Yuqi, who is the youngest, is certainly much more mature than her 22 years, the two of them simultaneously said: “Before we knew her age, we all believed that she was older than the two of us!”

Both of them said that Guei Lun Mei was very easy to get along with. Godfrey laughed and said that first time he saw her, she was not wearing any makeup and he could not recognise her, and asked very courteously: “Are you Guei Lun Mei?” He didn’t expect her to say playfully: “Nope!” Because of that, the two of them became more familiar with each other, often playing with each other in public places. Godfrey expressed that Guei Lun Mei is a very warm yet humorous person, the kind of girl he likes. He also admitted that while filming, he was ‘electrocuted’ by Guei Lun Mei, even off the set the feeling also remained, he only regrets that the other party doesn’t feel the same way – only treating him as a good sibling. He laughed saying: “Though Guei Lun Mei is the older brother, and I am the younger sister.”

The news with Godfrey is old lah! Eddie filmed a movie with Godfrey 2 years back, so this article is reporting on some talk show they did together. I just got a bit taken in by Godfrey after seeing him in person at a fashion event - most people only reached up to his chest or even stomach LOL.

Jump Ashin is Eddie's biggest ever project in his career. It's been selected by the Taipei Film Commission for screening at this year's Cannes Film Festival in France from 11 to 22 May.

    Here's the article:
    http://www.taipeifilmcommission.org/...px?NewsID=1191
2011 Cannes International Film Festival will take place on May 11th to 22nd at Cannes in France. The interests in Taiwan Cinema rose overseas with the growing popularity of popular films such as Cape No. 7 and Monga for the past few years. This year, although none of the Taiwanese films were nominated for competition, Government of Information’s (GIO) Department of Motion Pictures hosted a press conference to encourage participating film companies for the film market at Cannes International Film Festival. The press conference took place at 2pm on May 3rd at the Sheraton Taipei Hotel, participating guests included director and producer Lin Yu-hsien, Wang Qi-zai, Lee Lieh, Chen Yi-wen, David Tang and actors Chu Chung-heng and Yvonne Yao. Chu Wen-ching, Director of GIO’s Department of Motion Pictures also joined this venue to show his firm support for the 17 film studios including ARS Film Production, Central Motion Pictures Corporation, Serenity Entertainment International, Three Dots Entertainment Co. Ltd., Swallow Wings Films Co. Ltd., etc. Director Chu envisioned a bright year for Taiwan Cinema that begins with a successful film market sale for these studios.

Senior film journalist Mai Jo-yu hosted the press conference. He said sentimentally that two years ago producer Lee Lieh went to Cannes International Film Festival because of Monga, and this year, she is going back to the same festival for Jump! Ashin, it’s like she is returning to a place she is so familiar with. GIO Department of Motion Pictures Director Chu Wen-ching said that this year Pavilion of Taiwan Cinema will be two times the size at Cannes International Film Festival. With one room of 24 square meters and the other of 12 square meters at two sides of the isle, he envisioned this space will not only provide plenty room for film studios but also boost the visibility of Taiwan Cinema, attracting more potential buyers. This year, a special edition of 2011 Taiwan Cinema, a collection of information of 95 released Taiwanese films and 34 film proposals, together with a brochure on participating studios will be passed out during the film market. Taiwan Night Reception will also invite international filmmakers, producers, actors and actresses to join the celebration.

With his latest film, Jump! Ashin, director Lin Yu-hsien will travel to France to participate the film festival together with producer Lee Lieh and actor Eddie Peng. Lee Lieh said that they had a brilliant experience two years ago with the success of Monga at the film festival; this year, she said sentimentally that she wished for the same success for Jump! Ashin. On the other hand, director Lin Yu-hsien also hopes to promote the sturdy and diligent spirit in Jump! Ashin, a film released five years later on the same topic of gymnastic as his film, Jump! Boys.

Golden Bell Award-winning director Wang Qi-zai planned to promote Formosa Mambo at Cannes International Film Festival. He said that producer Chen Yi-wen’s boldness encouraged him to begin the proposal and complete this film. Chen said that his inspiration for making Formosa Mambo came from the telephone scam gang. Golden Bell Award Best Leading Actor Chu Chung-heng also participated in this film as the leading male actor. Chu said he was more concerned of the film’s popularity in Taiwan while Chen sincerely hoped for great reviews from the global market.

Directed by Wang Tung and produced by David Tang, Once Upon A Time in Taiwan, a film funded by Government Informational Office Funding for Flagship Motion Pictures, announced the cast for male leading role: Mr. Richie Ren, a popular Taiwan based star who is also highly received in Hong Kong and mainland China. David Tang especially complimented Ren’s enthusiasm and patriotism for lowering down his paycheck just to join this film team. At the end of the press conference, director Chu Wen-ching went up on the stage and shook hands with fellow filmmakers to show his support for Taiwan Cinema from the government. The filmmakers in return show their trust in the government and together, they envisioned a successful trip to Cannes to bring Taiwan Cinema to the world.

Filmmakers who will attend Cannes International Film Festival include 17 participating film studios, Once Upon A Time in Taiwan actor Richie Ren, producer Jimmy Huang, managing producer David Tang, Jump! Ashin’s producer Lee Lieh, director Lin Yu-hsien, actor Eddie Peng, and Seediq Bale’s producer Jimmy Huang. This year, Taiwan Cinema Reception, which will be held on May 16th at Carlton Hotel, will definitely catch international filmmakers’ attention. On May 17th, Taipei City, together with Paris, London, Cairo, and Madrid will host a Five Cities Film Co-production Forum to promote internationalization of Taiwan’s film industry.
